Wild Wheat Bakery in Kent (also sold at PCC stores) makes a terrific Jewish rye bread. |

All-you-can-eat ribs anywhere near Seattle? HD Hotspurs in Kent has all you can eat BBQ chicken and pork ribs on Wednesday nights. Pretty good too. I think it's 15.95 |

I like the fact that the bagels at Eltana are wood fired and hand made, but they don't let the dough rest, which is traditional in NY and Montreal bagels. That's why the holes in Eltana's bagels are so large. |

Anybody been to La Piazza in Allentown, NJ? |
best free chips an salsa in renton area La Hacienda in downtown Renton has good salsa and Dos Equus on tap. |

Best Jersey Diners (Lots good eats, little $) Hightstown Diner has markedly improved. They're cousins of the Mastoris family though the place is much smaller and the menu is too, but CB hash is great, dinner specials are very high quality, and the early bird dinner , at 8.25, can't be beat as it includes, soup or salad, potato and vegetable, beverage and dessert. They make a mean bread pudding. |

Albivi's in Perrineville is a real find in the middle of nowhere..Best in New Jersey? Maybe not THE best, but certainly a worthy contender. |

Ideas for a BBQ tour in the south-looking for suggestions Leatha's in Hattiesburg, MS is an incredible find. The place has been there forever, and it's in the middle of nowhere and worth finding. |

Best place to buy organic/free-range meats & poultry - Seattle Bob's Quality Meats on Rainier Avenue has been around forever and is very, very good. There's also the Meat Market on NE 4th St in Renton, which is the former Crystal Meat folks from the Pike Place Market. They do their own smoking there, and the smoked pork loin is addictive. |
why so few 'canadian food' restaurants? Montreal smoked meat for me is quintessential Canadian food, and it saddens me to no end that it's not sold in the US. |
Lulav on 6th is quite good. Kind of meditteranean/california fusion. |
Best place for Indian in Seattle for Bday If you are willing to go to Renton, Naan N' Curry is very good and a colorful place. |
Cajun Boilers is a great place. But Hot Springs also has great BBQ. McClard's is nationally famous, and down the road on Albert Pike, Smokin in Style is extremely good. |

What's your favorite restaurant in Chambersburg (Trenton)? Marsilio's. |
Gabby's Q, in the alley between the nail shop and the Beachcomber Tavern in Skyway, (12600 block of Renton Avenue South)maybe the best barbecue in the area. It's takeout only, and the area is less than inviting, but a true chowhound would risk gunshots for good ribs, no? |

A New York Pizza Place (long) - Seattle Village Pizza in Langley, Whidbey Island comes as close to a real NY pizza as I've had in the Seattle area. The owner is from Brooklyn. It's worth the schlep. |
Chace's is great for the ambience, not necessarily the food. |
Italian Restaurants in Trenton/Hamilton Area I always liked Marsilio's on Roebling Ave in Trenton. |

Textured or Texturized Protein??? I use TVP to make a granola, along with toasted and sweetened almonds, pecans, and shredded coconut. |
Mrs. Stahls were the best and most famous Brooklyn knishes, and better than Yonah Schimmels. |
What exactly is a "rump" roast?? I believe rump roast is the same thing as round or eye of round roast, cut from the hindquarters, one of those not very tender roasts that is enhanced by low and slow cooking. |
I'll concur on Goldberg's. The pickles are first rate, the salads fine, but the matzoh ball soup? |
My yiddishe grandma served scrapple. "You think there's actually meat of any kind in there at all?" she asked. |
Strange but good: |
Scrapple is delicious, and what do they say about sausage and laws? you don't want to know how they get made. |
It's all a matter of priorities. I'd risk getting shot for BBQ ribs, but not for pizza. |
Has anybody mentioned Federici's in Freehold? |
Smokin in Style- Hot Springs: Best Ribs I've ever eaten. |

I've been low carbing for about five years, lost 50 lbs and kept it off. I do cheat now and then. On a recent trip to Arkansas had doughnuts and peanut butter pie. |

What's That One Thing You Can't Go A Week Without???? I also can't go a week without a Pastrami sandwich on rye bread, with coleslaw, swiss cheese, and Russian dressing on the sandwich. Modeled after Langer's # 19, but my Russian dressing and coleslaw are home made and less sweet. |
