OMG...my new favorite grocery store in Reno -- Ranch Market!!!!
The chicharrones in the restaurant section are amazing. They have meat still attached and are warm. I love that store. I try to go there every time I go home for a visit.
Ethiopian Food in Reno????
I ate there when I was in town and I thought it was pretty good. Definitely not like some of the restaurants up here, but Seattle has an Ethiopian population and Reno doesn't really. I had the kitfo and I thought it was great. The green beans were the most popular on the table getting gobbled up by all of the children at the table.

I am from Reno, but have been living in Seattle for the last few years. I go home to Reno often to eat at Betos, get some all you can eat sushi and oh yeah...visit my family. I heard that there is an ethiopian restaurant in Reno now. There are 30 of them up here in Seattle, so I eat a lot of it and I was wondering if the place in Reno is any good? I'll be in town next weekend and will probably give it a shot if I hear it is up to par. Any thoughts?

Betos. Betos. Betos and Betos. I haven't lived in Reno for 3 years, but whenever I go back I try to eat at least one meal there. Pho 777 is another favorite, but I haven't been there since the relocation. Next weekend, when I am in Reno, I am going to kill a taco combo and maybe some seafood cocktail and wash it all down with a horchata.
Gourmet Burger
That lamb burger is definitely still great. Perfectly cooked.
I still think that Palace Kitchen has the best high end burger and for less than you would think.
