Visiting LA...where are my must-eats?

Thanks everyone! I'm more than familiar with In N Out. I plan on stopping at one on the way to Los Feliz from the airport! I'll take all your suggestions under advisement...I've spent lots of time in Mexico (mostly in Oaxaca actually), and can't wait for the quality Mexican food thats available in LA!

Visiting LA...where are my must-eats?

Hey LA

I'll be in town for 5 days next week and want to know where people's best eats are. I'm more interested in mid-range to cheap than fancy. I eat anything/everything, especially Mexican. I'll be staying in Los Feliz and would love to hear about local spots around there. I'm also definitely going to the farmers market in Santa Monica...any tips about that place?

I already know about Yuca's!

Love from Brooklyn,

Any good food in Ashland or Rogue Valley?

You should try The Arbor House. Its in Talent. Family run, opened in 1979. Delicious food and carefully chosen wine. The place has amazing character too. The walls are covered with incredible black and white photographs of local characters, mostly from back in the 70's. Its a great place, highly recommended.

coming to portland from nyc...where to eat?

I'm coming to Portland on vacation with my boyfriend...we are big foodies but are on a bit of a budget. We could probably manage one expensive meal. Where should it be? Descriptions would be helpful. And where do people go for their favorite inexpensive meals? Any "best kept secret" type places? I'd rather go with word of mouth from chowhound than a guidebook!

Thanks so much and happy holidays!!
