The parking area is under construction, but there is usually pleny of places to park. Bring dollar bills, parking is $2.00 per hour.
Sheila's BBQ and seafood is still open, just moved.
fd.It's facing Southern... Yes it is where the BBQ place was, and then a wing joint.... Hopefully Sheila's will have better luck at that location. Wasn't there a catering business there at one time?

Mediterranean Mahi, It was one of the better dishes I haves had in a long time. I had it blackenend. Check out the menu to see what all was included. My friend had the Trident Platter, It was a big hit. I will be back. My meal would probably have cost $20+ dollars at most seafood restaurants...It was well worth the $15.95. It is very, very, casual Many people right off the beach were there. There is construction going on due to revitalization of the Lake Worth Casino, so parking is a premium right now...Bring dollar bills for parking.
Quickie Key Largo review
Hi all, Just got back from a rainy weekend trip to my favorite place for a short vacation... I live 2 hours from Key Largo. Love to make a few days of it when I can. Stopped in at Snappers for a few apps....Very impressed..Seems like they got their act together... It was the same Snappers I knew from many years ago...Sat at the bar with my spouse.. Had the most fantastic Tuna Nachos...Better than the Island Grill down the road... Spent a few hours talking to the bartender Susan that has been there "forever".
Tried the Lorelei Saturday night while it was dry.... I actually tried their wings ....They were quite good..
Sunday before the rain got too heavy we went to Mrs. Mac's II. The food is good but believe me it is just a place to eat and not a place to relax ...Very noisy.
The rain put a damper on our usual plans.

seminole phil............It's a shame these things happen.The " mighty dollar " takes over and the restaurant (or any business goes to crap)... The same thing happened to my favorite pizza joint, Corelino's in Lantana......New management that was more concerned with the buck....

I drove by Sheila's just a few hours ago... There is a big "AVAILABLE" sign on the fence. Looks like it has closed... Just my opinion...The food was great but lacked in management skills ,which is a common occurence. Many times they were open when they wanted to be.

Many years ago there was a place on the northwest corner of Dixie and Hypoluxo...I had the best wings ever, then I discover a place called "Wings & Things" on the southeast corner of Atlantic & Military in Delray.... I always heard that the manager ran off with the funds and it closed............Actually I really do enjoy the "naked wings" at Hooters if I can keep my partners eyes on the "real" food
Parboiling Baby Back Ribs???
My opinion and observation...... When you boil those lovely ribs in a great big pot, what happens??? It almost boils over with white and brown foam...Ya know what that white and brown foam is.....It's all of the flavor that was in those ribs that is now floating on top of the water, AND, probably you will get this great big spoon and get rid of that stuff so it won't boil over and stink up the kitchen when it hits the burners......FRIENDS, You are boiling out all of the taste and flavers...You can see it.

non seq.....Went a few months ago to see the fantastic RAIN concert(Beatles Tribute) I high-tailed it back to Palm Beach county to escape the traffic for a late dinner.... By the way..Parking at the Broward Center really sucks.......Be prepared for cash only parking garage...., B ut the venue is absolutely beautiful, Not a bad seat in the house.

freaker....... In your opinion is this the best Palm Beach county has to offer? Haven't been to Mrs Smokeys yet... I have always been dissapointed in the BBQ in south Florida. You would think someone from the Carolinas would move here to show us how it is meant to be.

Where to buy fresh caught fish in WPB area?
ChowShoe, That marina is very close to my house. I walk down there sometimes to see what the drift boat brings in. The ones that are for sale are usually the undesireable fish like Jacks. Once in a while someone will sell a Kingfish. Most of those kind of boats will bring anything they catch back to the launch area so they can advertise that they catch lots of fish, whatever the species.

freaker.....I tried it again Sunday....The service still kinda sucks, but the food is great. I took your advice and tried the blackened mahi sandwich...Very good. As a starter we had the buffalo calamari.Very spicy but excellent.. My friend had the lobster roll ,which is actually a wrap. Loved it. I must say the presentation of each dish ranks up there with the pros. I honestly believe if the service would kick it up this could be one of the best stops in the area.But I will be back...Please stop and try it, but do it when you are not in a hurry. The bloody mary was top knotch

Stopped in Saturday afternoon for the first time. This little restaurant is located at 766 Northlake Blvd, Lake Park Florida. It started out kinda bad, because there was only one girl waiting on the tables. Then the lovely owner jumped in and helped out. Just had the sirloin burger to get the feel of things. Only $7.95 for a great burger and fries. The burger and fries were great. I will absolutely go back soon to try the seafood. Looking at others dishes I was amazed. Oh durn, I just got back from Termarsch Groves to get some wonderful orange juice. I wish I would have known, I would have stopped and got some rock shrimp. I live in lake Worth.

Went to Bru's Room in Boynton a few nights ago. I always thought they were great. I looked at the menu and saw that for 10 wings it was $9.75. That is almost $1.00 per wing. Too much in my book. I had the fish and chips.Mediocre. Dissappointed.

Palm Beach County - New or Coming Soon
I drove by the corner of Dixie and Lake Ave. in Lake Worth this morning... This is where the now defunct Michaels was, then Cheese Burger Cheese Burger was, then Miami Subs... There is a sign "coming soon, Pietro's Cafe" Anyone know of this new restaurant? I hope it's nice, I hope it lasts... Not a good spot because of traffic and parking.
