Couldn't agree with you more. A nice litttle spot in JP still growing in popularity all of the time. The food just keeps on getting better and better and the service has always been spot on. IMHO they are up there with Ten Tables.
Restaurant Week... No More
Went to Avila with a number of folks from work for RW...very disappointing. I don't expect great food but I do expect something better than fair.....Service was poor. The food was underwhelming. Nothing to write home about. NO to RW for me .
Carnavour that loves Vee Vee
Yes I like meat but when I go to my second favorite hangout in JP I choose the veggie dishes. They are fab and so is this cozy restaurant. Hubby and I went opening week and were a little disapointed. Now we are weekly regulars. The service is great. The owners are nice folks and have brought an upscale veggie friendly restaurant to JP. Wines and Beers are superb. Oh yeah I'm a chocolate fiend . I was fearful of thiers thought it would be too sweet but surprise it wasn't. It was damn tastey

Have you been to Ten Tables in JP lately. Don't walk run and experience the great food of Chef Tod. This guy knows how to prepare and present a menu with panache and punchy flavors. Tueseday' wine tastings have always been my fav under the reigns of David Punch. But this guy wows you and with the pairings from the wine guy Stanislav just knocks a meal out of the park. So foodies if you thought it was difficult under Heir Punch getting a reservation wait till the tastes of Tod catch on. Congrats to Ms. Kranyak for this gem
Have you been to Cafe D lately?
The burger is very good. That is mostly what I get when I go and I order it rare and get it rare. It's nice and juicey the way I like it and the rolls are brioche made in JP too. The fries are good too. I also love the guac and the steak tare tare
Chef's table at Ten Tables
We used to go every Tues for wine tasting and that was where we sta. We got excetional services and little extras. Always bread. And always gabbed with the greeat Mr. Punch. We stopped going because we had to start eating healthy. We are returning after a 4 month absence this weekend with our daughter and her singificant other for a special treat-I hope the addiction bug doesn't bite us:)
Anniversary Dinner - Tasting Menus?
We had our anniversary dinner at Salts it was wonderful. I too am allergic to all fish and they were able to accomodate. We had the pairings. Much food. Left very full. I think it cost around 200.00 for 2. Another suggestion is Dante in cambridge wentr for my B'day same issue for fish. Dante came out and discussed many options with us overwhelmed by the amount of food and again around 200.00 for 2. We also did the tasting at L'espallier accomodating but not impressed with the food.
