Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich?
The Only Place in Town in Sierra Madre has breakfast "sliders" on their menu which describes that the egg and blackforest ham are served on a biscuit...haven't tried 'em (not a fried/poached or baked egg fan) so can't speak personally on whether they're up to snuff or not.

Fish and Chips
agreed...unfortunate, but Little Britain, since moving is inconsistent in the quality of the fish and the preparation...
LA Cheap Eats Food Tour--Any More Suggestions?
maybe you missed it, easy to do with all the locations, but it's on the list you linked ;)
Five and Five, or Five by Five in San Clemente (???)
very good...yeh- and it was White Horses that closed more recently...WoF has been out of biz for a while.
Five and Five, or Five by Five in San Clemente (???)
West of the Five...and yes, it's a "was" and has been closed for at least a year...
Moving to Claremont
Tropical Mexico for margaritas and great chile rellenos on East End in south part of Pomona...place has been there forever and a favorite haunt for those of us at Cal Poly in the early 80's and we were late to the game. Menu has definitely expanded and the place is not the tiny little place in the photo anymore, but I've been back a few times since then and basic good Mexican food, still family owned/run.. BF loved the machaca tacos. Whole fried fish and shrimp cocktail, ceviche. Ask for the hot salsa that the cooks keep in back for themselves...good stuff!

Moving to Claremont
The donuts at Miss Donut in La Verne at Bonita and D St. used to be pretty good, and a bit closer to Claremont. Also Some Crust Bakery on Yale had great croissant...I speak in past tense only because it's been a few years since I was a local in that area.
Good food near LA Memorial Coliseum?
you should have enough time to grab a bite, if you arrive around 4-5ish, park, and then walk to one of the places on Figueroa,... or stop/park at Mercado (where Mo-Chica, etc are located) to eat and then cruise over to the arena when done- it will just take longer to park for the concert, and you'll likely be further from the arena if you do that...you could also take the Dash over to Mo-Chica from Exposition east to Grand Ave...doors to Sports Arena supposedly open around 6 ish, and even tho they say music starts at 7:30 it's usually more like 8:30.
Good food near LA Memorial Coliseum?
Concur with Mo-Chica and Chichen Itza, tho you'll need to decide if you have enough time, as traffic builds by 3pm if not before. We're there both nights, and arriving by 1:30pm on Thurs. afternoon, since GA Floor and going with the cattle call for the lottery...
There's The Lab (a somewhat cliche "gastropub") on Figueroa and also the 2-9 Cafe, both north of Exposition a few blocks. The Lab is within walking distance across the USC campus, and 2-9 a few blocks north of the north edge of campus, so it may be doable to walk depending on what time you arrive, (and Bruce never comes on til after 8 regardless) ...while not dining extravaganzas, they have acceptable menus, and do provide that "Plus" you noted in your post. Their sweet potato fries are safe. Same with McKays and a few other places across the street from campus, on east side of Fig, north of Exposition. Guessing the Lab will be an absolute zoo. Drinks at the Sports Arena's fine establishments are served by staff who were hired when they issued the Certificate of Occupancy- stingy and crusty (bring your own napkins and salt for the margaritas - i kid you not!) Definitely park in the designated lots- safer, and they move you in and out with traffic control relatively quickly after the concert. gonna be great- BRUUCCE!!

Private Chefs Los Angeles Area
Deborah Murphy (pronounced deb-ORR-ah) at Cuisine and the City... She's done some great BBQs on the beach for 50 as well as intimate dinners for two with casual to sophisticated food that is not pretentious or over-wrought with foams, towers and turrets...self-trained, and local to Silver Lake area, but she used to travel. Contact via messaging on FB.
(Edit: link to FB seems not to work- go to FB and try typing in "deborahmurphyla"... otherwise, apologies, and in the words of Emily L., "...nevermind"

Friday night - need dinner suggestion - trying to please out of towners & locals with varying palates, etc. (Pasadena area)
Three Drunken Goats v. Fat Dog...hmm- i'd pick 3DG for food/ambiance tho if you want just a "hang out" kinda place, then Fat D,...depending on what you eat and drink, 3DG could definitely put you over the top.
The Fat D is more casual, can also be loud, but then, what brewpub type place isn't ;) Their food is good, tho not exceptional, and I would not consider it a destination type place, like say, Bashan. Food does not approach the complexity of the tapas menu at 3DG, it really is just your basic brewpub schtuff.. and when they do try to do something "interesting", well, sometimes it's just a bit weird or too much of a good thing for my tastes (like the medleys of potato skins -blech...or the fried olives w/ blue cheese that were salt on salt on weird...good concept that just didn't work ). Things to like - good burger (BF choice),and grilled chicken sandwich... and also the Fish & Chips, not greasy when we had them, and enough to share between two people if one has a small appetite...get them with the sweet potato fries. My martini made w/ Absolut Peppar was perfect and they also serve my Brander's Sauvignon Blanc...another plus.

difficult to meet the OPs $20 or less food price point unless you stick with sharing appetizers, tho' I do like Bashan, and it definitely falls within the "hidden gem" category.

perhaps The Fat Dog up in Montrose ?...fits the gastropub model, tho' not certain I'd consider a "hidden gem"...across the street from Three Drunken Goats.

Restuarant on Ventura - I need help!!!!
"S"pitting "C"hicken Cantina is further west on Ventura, past Van Nuys, and they have tacos, albeit steak, but maybe that's what he's calling roast beef...Stevie's also immediately came to mind when you mentioned Cajun/Creole...any clue on what was he drinking that night? maybe it threw off his locational gyro. This is the Chowhound version of 20 Questions ;)

La Super Rica (S.B. area)--what do you love?
Stopped at LSR for lunch yesterday on our way up to Los Olivos...the special chile relleno was excellent and ginormous- stuffed to the gills with grilled carrots, onion, peppers, potatoes, and zucchini, a little melted cheese that turned into a great sauce, with a spoonful of roasted tomato on top. Also tacos - al pastor and chicken. (#1 and 8)... a side of guacamole and always the green and red salsas and pico de gallo. Good stuff. Very good stuff.
Private Dining Room for 16th birthday
One friend's daughter had hers at Off Vine -they had the first floor reserved...another had hers at the The Alcove in Los Feliz (private back "bungalow" that adjoins the patio and is totally separate from the main restaurant). The kids seemed to like the space and food at both locations, ...noise seemed less of an issue at the Alcove, and they also were able to bring their own CDs/iPods to play that didn't interfere with other diners.

Looking for a great Whiskey Sour
Arroyo Chop House, when ordered, suggested something they called a Kentucky Speed Bump, served otr and quite good. (...not much for the non-steak eater on the menu, but still like the place).
Angeli Caffe closing!
my first Angeli dining experience was at the West LA location 20-some odd years ago and I will always remember what we had ...warmed olives....and then grilled radicchio with mozzarella melted over it...and then penne Arrabiata....simple pleasures.
New Years Eve in Monrovia
more info. ..The Royce first seating is at 6-6:30 , $155 w/out wine, $210 w/; the second seating starts at 8:30 and $180 w/out wine, $250 w/...The Terrace is also serving dinner, less expensive, and menu listed via link below....we did the lobby/appetizer gig a few years ago just after they did the switchover from the Ritz-Carlton to the Langham, ...was with a live blues band (Arthur Adams) , the dance floor was literally cheek-to-cheek...Fun, but very crowded.

Strange Pairings that Taste Uncommonly Good
rice wine vinegar on almost any type of melon, strawberries, or pineapple...ya gotta like sour, but sprinkled with a little salt and pepper...excellent.
GF never eaten fish. Suggestions on the best fish you've eaten
The sea bass at Larchmont Bungalow done in miso is pretty darn good,...and the salmon and spinach salad was also good...simple, comfortable, and it won't break the bank. and you might go for brunch - good stuff, and tho tempted, I haven't yet tried the lobster crab cake (only because it's a lot of schtuff). crab cakes?...Mortons, Pacific Dining Car, Hungry Cat, the Lobster...and even Fleming's (downtown) does an okay one...

Dinner for 60+ - high-end, great wine; between Santa Monica and LaBrea/Melrose
Valentino in Santa Monica immediately comes to mind.
a "corporate" celebration when we won a major lawsuit at Court of Appeal ...it was fabulous,...they greeted us at the door, personal service all evening, never for want of anything... the food, the wine- excellent....we took over the side room. they served antipasti, a variety of primi, entree and desserts,,...stayed for over 4 hours...one of my most memorable evenings.
