Virginia BEach restaurants

In VB, there are few places you cannot go in jeans and flip flops. It's a tourist town.
For all three spots, they'd fine in jeans and collared shirts.
One Fish Two fish is the fanciest of the three, but folks go there on boats and tie up at the dock outside.

Good Italian Food off of Rte 13 in Delaware

I drive up the Eastern Shore from Virginia to points north several times a year.
On my most recent trip in August, I stopped at Polidoro Italian Grill in New Castle, DE. I had gnocchi with prosciutto and it was divine. They also had local brews on tap and a good selection of wine, which, due to the long drive head, we did not try.
The food was great and the service was quick. Reasonable prices too.
A much better option than fast food on a long trip up the shore!

Good seafood market in Norfolk/Virginia Beach?

Welton's Seafood, near the Heritage Health Foods on Laskin road is a good one. It used to be located on 40th and Pacific. Good, local seafood.

Fresh seafood in Norfolk/Virginia Beach area?

Dockside on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach fits your criteria. Food is really simply prepared, to the point of plain, but very fresh. Their steamed crabs are awesome.
Great view of Lynnhaven Inlet.

Thanksgiving dinner: What is your LEAST favorite menu item that you can't get rid of?

I also love scalloped oysters, but not the canned and baked-to-oblivion variety! It's a Thanksgiving staple.

Vegetarian Seattleite Moving to Portsmouth, VA--Suggestions?

With the PETA headquarters located in Norfolk (just across the river), lots of Portsmouth and Norfolk restaurants have veg options.
In Portsmouth, I especially like Still, located on 450 Court Street in downtown Portsmouth. It's located in the basement and has a fun speakeasy feel, with a great bar and great food.

Eat - an America Bistro, is at the end of the boardwalk at 40th Street, 4005 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23451-2664 (757) 965-2472.
The food has been great every time I've been there. The fish tacos on Sunday nights are also great.

Places to Eat in Norfolk/Va Beach?[Moved from Washington DC & Baltimore Board]

In Norfolk, my favorite "regular" place is A W Shucks on 22nd Street. They have great daily seafood specials, an oyster menu and a great beer selection. It's not fancy, but is delicious.

If you're driving down the Eastern Shore, then The Great Machipongo Clam Shack (near Nassawadox) on Rt 13 is a great place to stop. Awesome clam chowder!

A.W. Shucks on 22nd St in Norfolk is also a favorite.

Gringo's on Norfolk Ave in Virginia Beach for Mexican food. Fish tacos are great.
