From the start of the episode, it almost seemed like his ego got in the way of it. He acted like he didn't want to be there and was just doing it as a favor for his cameraman (whom Tony knows well and isn't held to a standard of typical politeness reserved for newly acquainted folk). His reluctant and slightly condescending attitude in this episode reflects that.
