Thursday dinner at Musee D' Orsay

Has anyone tried the Thursday dinner prix fixe menu at the Musee D'Orsay's restaurant? I was there years ago and enjoyed lunch many times in their beautiful dining room, but just saw that they are doing Thurs. night dinners for 42 Euro and wonder if anyone can suggest what may be on the menu and whether this is a decent value. Thanks!

Help! Need kosher bagels delivered at 8am on a weekday!

I've called twice and both times they put me on hold and hung up! Looks like Ess-a-Bagel is the way to go. Thanks for the suggestions, all!

Help! Need kosher bagels delivered at 8am on a weekday!

I was just tasked with ordering bagels and coffee for a work function this week, however the meeting will be held in a building that only allows kosher catering, and it seems many of the kosher bagel places begin delivery at 9am or later. I'd prefer somewhere below 14th street (it just seems silly in NYC to have to get bagels delivered from Brooklyn, or the UWS or UES to the village!), but at this point any kosher bagels that can get to us at 8am would be great. Any ideas?

Best deals for prix fixe dinners/ tasting menus? Help.

I almost hate to post this because a deal this good should remain semi-secret, but Patois on Smith street in Brooklyn has a Tues-Thurs prix fixe for $20 for 3 courses. Delish and cheap even after wine is factored in.

Non-touristy group dinner for under $40pp?

Any suggestions on an American, Italian or otherwise non-threatening cuisine (non-threatening to those relatives who are afraid of most other foods) for a group of about 20? Looking to have dinner together near the Seaport, Dumbo, Cobble Hill, Park Slope, W/E Village, LES, Soho, whatever as long as it's below 42nd street and not too far into Brooklyn. Is under $40 per person doable anywhere decent? Can't think of anything in the Seaport area that's not a chain restaurant or otherwise super touristy and mediocre OR an out of our price range - expense account type place.

Wedding at Studio 6 / Abigail Kirsch

We're thinking about booking Steiner as well. Can anyone tell me what mode of transportation they took to get there, or if you had an event, how you set up transport for your guests? Thanks!

Sushi in Brooklyn Heights and surronding area

Ki Sushi is the best I've had in the neighborhood. Used to go to Hana Cafe on Smith street, which is still a good bet for large bento boxes and hot dishes, but their sushi quality really doesn't compare to Ki or Osaka. I think Ki's fish is much better and more interesting than Osaka, and the place has more seating so you don't have to worry that the post-movie going crowd will fill up Ki in a matter of seconds. Have you tried J-Pan on Fifth ave. in the Slope? Great menu with very different choices from most Japanese places in Brooklyn.

Wedding reception in Brooklyn for 130 guests?

Anyone have a good suggestion for a wedding reception site in Brooklyn that can accommodate approx 130 guests for sit-down dinner and dancing? Already checked out the Marriott, which was so-so (bland), and not too interested in the BBG since a lot of friends coming to the wedding have been to many weddings held there. Looking for a cool venue first, thinking about the budget later. Priorities are good food, open bar, interesting space that can fit this many people comfortably, and somewhat close (less than a half hour) from either Manhattan or the BK Marriott, where guests from out of town might stay.
