Sparkling Red

i would say fizzy - maybe sparkling - can't really remember :(
definitely red - not rose
it was a little sweet
don't know where it was made - cannot remember the name - and got it from a local market in Rome (doesn't mean it was made there)
i do remember that the label had like a red and white check to it - i think

best creme brulee in Atlanta

Okay - I am on a kick and can't shake it. For some reason I have been OBSESSED with creme brulee lately. I mean - if they serve it somewhere - I order it. Just moved back to Atlanta and wanted opinions on where I can find the best creme brulee in Atlanta. Any suggestions?

Sparkling Red

Is Gragnano the name of it - or the type of wine? Any suggestions on labels I should try?

Sparkling Red

You are so right! It definitely had a strawberry taste to it. Any suggestions on something similar?

moving back to Atlanta, GA

I lived in ATL about 5 years ago - and then moved to Greenville, SC - now back to Atlanta. I know things have certainly changed - hopefully my old favorites are still around - and new things have popped up. Any suggestions on must try restaurants - even if they were here 5 years ago - I may have missed them. I LOVE Eclipse di Luna, Canoe, Brio (know it is a chain - but excellent), Toulouse, etc for dinner. Cafe Intermezzo for dessert. Cafe at Pharr, Swan House, Mary Mac's, and Kool Korners for lunch. Flying Biscuit is my fav for breakfast. I LOVED Eatzi's and am so sad to hear it is no longer around.
So... I need some more suggestions. What am I missing? I like to find very original (preferably no chains) places. Any ideas?

Sparkling Red

My mom and I had a wonderful - local - sparkling red wine in Rome a few months ago - and I know I will never find anything like it here, but thought I would give it a shot. It was sparkling - and red - although I cannot remember which grape. It was slightly sweet - but not very. Sooooo good. Any ideas? ( I have tried The Black Chook sparkling shiraz - which is good.)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Looking for a really good - but fairly inexpensive cab. (preferably under $20). I love a toasty, oaky flavor - very smooth. For example - I love Rodney Strong, and J.Lohr cab. I also had one at a restaurant by Folie a Deux - not the popular "Menage a Trois" - but the cab. It is excellent. Any ideas?
