Moroccan restaurant for 25 high school kids, near 53rd and 6th Bringing 25 kids to NYC for Model UN conference in March. Need to find an inexpensive ($20 per person, if possible) Moroccan place for dinner - we are staying at the Hilton on 53rd and 6th and we'd like to be able to walk to the place. Suggestions are much appreciated! |

I was there last week days ago for lunch. Lovely space but lousy food and service. Hopefully since this was the first day everyone was nervous and busy, etc. We waited one hour for our food! Very atypical for that place. The reuben's toast was burnt (but was served cool), the club sandwich a mess, the crab soup was served cool, not even lukewarm! I think all our food had been waiting for a long time to be served which was why everything we got was cool in temp. I will definitely wait a while before returning and hopefully they will have worked out the kinks by then. |

What sides with Salmon croquettes? I make mine always with couscous (from a box, a spicy one) and frozen peas. Great combination. |

Spatchcocked turkey roasted on bed of stuffing--anyone done this? I did it last year for the first time. It was amazingly delicious (both the turkey and the stuffing). I put the butterflied turkey on top of the stuffing and made a separate batch of stuffing outside the turkey. I ended up mixing both stuffings together since one was super moist from the turkey drippings, almost too moist; so I combined them and it was perfection! |

I was ate there at the original location (where Touloulou's is now) and adored their brisket. Very nice people there. The brisket sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. |

Coming to this nice town this weekend. I searched the boards for recommendations but they are several years old and I'd love some current suggestions. |

Best Crab Deals/specials in Baltimore True that you will likely not get local crabs but you can still get crabs and have the Baltimore experience of peppery hard shelled crabs. They have them at Ocean Pride in Towson, at Bo Brooks in Canton and there are many other places that do bring them in from the south. Check out the boards here and you can call places ahead of time to see what they have available and how much they are. |

It's really really good! A bit pricey but delicious pie and nice people work there. |

30th Birthday Dinner in Baltimore Blu Stone in Timonium has a separate party room and I'm sure they could accommodate you. I also agree the Tabrizi's suggestion. |

Bo Brooks in Canton has amazing rings! |

Breakfast/brunch/lunch between Baltimore and DC We're trying to find a good breakfast/brunch place to meet on Saturday - we're coming from Baltimore; they're coming from DC. Is there any nice place in between to meet for a decent breakfast/lunch/brunch? We like all kinds of food! |

French restaurant for 25 high school kids Returning to NYC for the Model UN Conference in early March. This year our country is France. We're staying at the Hilton on 53rd and 6th. Friday night we'd like to find a French restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Remember - these are high school kids who can spend about $25 for a dinner. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! |

Butterflied Turkey - Baltimore I thought about that - but a turkey is much bigger than a chicken and I'm not wild about working with raw poultry. When I had it in LA, the guy doing it took about 3 hours to de-bone it. I was just wondering if any establishment sold them de-boned. Probably not.............. |

Butterflied Turkey - Baltimore Does anyone know where to find a turkey that's been butterflied (off the bone completely)? Someone we know served this dish and it was fabulous, over the stuffing. |

What homemade edible thing do you most commonly gift? How do you gift these dressings? In bottles or jars? I'd love to try them. |

Crabs on the Waterfront in Baltimore Bo Brooks in Canton. Crabs all year, again maybe from the Gulf. Great view, can eat inside or out. Lots of choices for seafood besides crabs. ----- |

A group of 7 college friends (in our young 60's) will be having a reunion in mid-October. We are renting a house on N. Lakewood Avenue and will be spending three days together. I've checked former posts here and like the idea of Deleece and Sun Wah BBQ. Any other suggestions for breakfast, lunch or dinner? Not too pricey please. |

Tabrizi's restaurant in Baltimore- yay or nay? Food, service and view - Fantastic! |

Crabs for a Group Close to Inner Harbor Had dinner the other night at Obryki's (1725 E. Pratt Street) for the first time in years. Crabs were delish. Have also had them in Canton at Bo Brooks. Both places are pricey for crabs but if that's what you want, you can't go wrong with either place. Have no idea about the other food they serve - we went for the crabs (with sides of fries and coleslaw) and we were very happy with both places. ----- |

Baltimore-Old school restaurants? No touristy or chain places please When I think "old school" I think of Pappas Seafood Restaurant at 1725 Taylor Avenue. Old school enviornment, waitresses, platters with free sides, etc. And their crab cake is one of the best in town. |

Has anyone been to Chef Mac's in Hamilton? I have and had fabulous brisket there. I will go again. I think it's a pretty cool, funking fun place to eat. I recommend it. |

Chef Mac's Louisiana Cuisine on Harford Road. Best brisket I've ever had! |

Thank you lisaoceancity. That menu looks amazing. However, I am looking for a much more casual place. We used to go to Spicers Family Restaurant for their shrimp baskets but I see now that they are closed! |

We will be heading down to the Chesapeake Hyatt on Thursday and need a nice spot of lunch before we check in. Are there any fun/good restaurants nearby? |

The recipe on the back of the Old Bay crab cake mixture packet (not the can but the packet) is wonderful. Just add the packet to a pound of fresh crab meat (lump is worth paying for) and 1/2 cup of mayo. That's it. Form into patties and refrigerate for about an hour. Broil. The quality of the crab cake is totally dependent upon the quality of the crab meat. This one is a winner. |
