Second the vote for Teji's in Round Rock - no buffet and I hope they keep it that way. The food is mildly spicy and the decor is well, to put it kindly, meant for take out. They do have seating if you like but most of their business is To Go. Teji's also is a indian market so you can gather ingredients or snacks to take home. The owner is very friendly and helpful and will direct you to the best snacks.

Cupcake Nazi – Hey Cupcake Austin: The cupcakes were good but not exceptional. Most importantly, the service was lacking professionalism and courtesy. After making arrangements to pick up the cupcakes Wes, the owner, was very arrogant in handling my order. He did not hold himself responsible for the miscommunication and became argumentative and rude when I asked when the cupcakes would be ready. The bakery was closed when I had arranged to pick up the cupcakes. I was told to wait for them to deliver without being given a time estimate. In summary, Wes needs to learn how to cater to his customer and not belittle or make his customer feel responsible for his poor time management skills.

Ditto Clear Springs Catfish - worth the drive for the catfish and wacky garage sale collector decor.
Pfugerville also has a Springhill Restaurant with catfish baskets of strips and batter dipped fries.

Second the Walburg restaurant - If you like beer and brauts you'll be a happy camper.

Swad Indian - Vegi Food on Lamar & Rutland. Not overpriced. Thali plate is a good first visit choice. Also try anything w/ chic peas and the masala dosa 'spicy'. Dine in or take out.

HEB off of Far West has a Kosher Dept. There's a pretty good cinnamon babka there around the holidays. It is packaged in a orange paper tray inside a plastic bag. I believe the manufacturer is Greens. The chocolate one, not so good.
