Owl Bar

Joe Squared is good (food wise and drink wise). With excellent pizza and a great variety of beers and liquors (i think they carry some wine too but I'm not sure) they are a favorite. Brewers art, even with the wait, is definetly worth it. No where in Balitmore will you find a better beer selection. Service upstairs might be a little iffy, but remember its more of a bar than a restaurant. Never been to owl bar but always heard good things.

Beer

Not really food but certainly an aspect worth discussing. I love beer and I am trying to expand my taste. I know of maxs and brewers art but I am looking for places more like Joe Squared. By this I mean they have a selection thats good and varied yet its not overwhelming like maxs or brewers art. Plus maxs and brewers are too well known and sometimes its a pain in the ass to get to the bar and order. I recently found wayne or wade Mahaffreys place in the canton area and I love it. Does anyone know any other places like Joe Squared or Mahaffreys with a good beer selection

Dive, DIVE!

Butts and Bettys has always had a special place in my heart. Always cheap drinks and interesting crowd. Since I moved I go to the corner bar called romans

Mezze Prices

Fully filled with food and drink for two people ran me $85 with tip. Mainly because the oysters were so perfect that we had to get two orders. Without booze you can knock like 35 bucks off

Best Korean Food in Baltimore

I was feeling the craving for some korean food when I realized I only know of one place to go. I go to maryland ave and usually hit up the corner of 21st. There is a tiny little restaurant that always has severeal people in the front and no "customers". The food is damn good and I always enjoy the adventure of communication. I have never been able to re-order something I like unless its in the same sitting, and I have never got the exact same thing twice. So its fun and good food, but the atmosphere is crap and I am sure they violate a few health codes but it was always worth it, however, my last visit was cut short by an awful smell.

So in summation I am looking to try a new korean spot and was hoping the chowhounds could help.

Iggie's in Baltimore

I guess I better go back as well, because I found BOP to be way overhyped. Nice looking ingredients and it certainly is a brick oven but something was missing. My best guess is theres something wrong with the dough.

what to eat at joe squared?

I agree with both of these posts. The first trip to joe squared is overwhelming. Not only is there a huge list of toppings and signature pizzas. There is also risotto, subs, pasta, and salads. Recently there has also been 7-8 weekly specials, so there is definately some experimenting in the kitchen. I have yet to have something I dislike but since the menu is so large I have been very selective. Last time I was in I hit the specials up. They had a sweetbreads starter which I really liked(and was shocked to find) and the Antipasto pizza, which had salami, olives, tomatoes, fresh mozz and a pesto sauce. This pizza was really tasty, with a good balance of flavors.
So to answer the question. I have had the best experiences with the specials and I would reccomend checking them before diving into the huge menu.
