Orlando dinner with 10-year daughter

Unique? Well,do want a cool atmosphere and okay food? If so, go to Rainforest Cafe. Kids LOVE that place!!

Is she into Disney at all? I know a lot of kids that age and they still like to go to Disney character breakfasts.
Maybe even Hoop-de-doo at Disney?

Have you ever taken her to a Japanese Steakhouse? That certainly is unique and kids love Kobe.

I am guessing b/c your question is so open . . . sorry!

Pizza in Orlando

Really? I really thought I was going to like Mellow Mushroom but I didn't. The vibe was really cool, but the servers couldn't answer a question about the meatballs. (We asked if they were a mixture a hamburger and sausage and no one knew. Then they said they checked and said they are all beef. Then after we got the pizza we knew there was pork in it and said they checked the box in the freezer and it said it was a mixture.) Hello?? First off, they should know their product -- secondly they use frozen meatballs???? Uck! Thirdly they shouldn't have served the product if they really hadn't checked.

Anyway, besides that the crust was really good -- but the sauce really wasn't great. Melloe Mushroom was a big disappointment.

As far as pizzas -- so many good places have turned bad. (Sigh) I still go to Anthonys on Summerlin and I have never been disappointed.

Del Friscos, Ruth's Chris or Shula's ORLANDO?

Capital Grille!!!

I have been to Del Friscos many times -- and know that the business has been handed over, it just isn't as good. I am SAD! It used to be my favorite steak place.

Flemings was horrible -- not a big fan. Ruth Chris was okay, but it is just doesn't have the right feel for me -- everytime I have been there it was too "business-y" for me.

Captal Grille is SO worth it -- it isn't cheap, but if you want the best, go there.

Thanksgiving in Orlando

I would suggest Publix -- they have lots of options for side dishes and they really make it easy for the kind of meal your are going for.

I am not a pie expert, so I can't speak to the pies. (I have never liked pie -- although I love the pecan pie mini at Seasons 52!)

Finally! Wonderful cupcakes in Orlando!

I don't know what supermarkets you go to . . . but these aren't supermarkert cupcakes! These cupcakes are TOP quality and kick every grocery store cupcake in the rear! (supermarket cupcakes -- bleck!)

Oh, this is their only store -- they don't have one downtown, but they should expand!

I agree, this shop is already a HUGE hit and it has only been open for two weeks or so.

Finally! Wonderful cupcakes in Orlando!

Check out Sweet by Good Golly Miss Holly. It is in Waterford Lakes and they have the BEST cupckaes! This place was packed and everybody was going gaga over the cupcakes. (They also serve tart yougurt)

My party got White Out, High Hat, Black and Tan, Red Velvet, and Cookies and Cream. My favorites were White Out and Red Velvet.

Note -- this cupcakes are HUGE and some cupcakes are uber sweet -- so bring your sweet tooth! Oh, they are green friendly and use the best ingredients.

Circo or Fiamma Trattoria? (Vegas)

I think we have narrowed it down to these two choices for our Italian dinner.
I am picky eater, but I think I either one would work. (Husband will pretty much eat anything)

I appreciate your thoughts/suggestions. (We need something on the strip -- and we are staying at the Bellagio and seeing Love that night . . . so we wanted something kinda close by)

Please help steer me in the right direction. Thanks.
(We ahve been to Vegas before, but never eaten at either restaurant)
