Delivery Options in Vancouver - what are your go-to spots?
My last delivery was 'Mali Thai'. It was on an Olympic hockey night and it was fast and delicious!
If you're in the Kitsilano area, I highly recommend pick-up from 'Hapa Izakaya' or 'Trattoria Italian Kitchen'. The former makes you promise to eat it immediately upon returning home to ensure freshness as well as having food that looks good enough to eat straight from the take-away container (Tupperware in my case). The latter has a great special on their spaghetti and Kobe meatballs - $10 takeout on Monday nights.

cool place for brunch in Kitsilano?
Wow, I'm stunned. I stopped at 'Fish' on my way home because I had to see it for myself. I just ate here last week and now they're becoming a pizza place. *sigh*

My friends really like Cafe Zen on Yew and I think it's okay

Where can I purchase a Sweet Potatoe pie in the city?
On Wanda's page, if you click the 'Occasions' heading and then the 'Fall' tab, you can see she makes a Sweet Potato Praline but only between September 15th and December 31st.

Vancouver cheap / late night / student eats
Late night I enjoy Pho Kim Penh Xe Lua on Broadway right on the west side of the Cambie construction mess. It's open until 6am (!) or longer on weekends and they're very friendly and attentive. Last week, I took my girlfriend and her friend who are slightly picky but they thought the decor was 'interesting'. We had soup, salad rolls, and a sandwich for less than $20 including tax and tip.
If you want the best pizza in the city, go further down Broadway near Commercial to Uncle Fatih's pizza for 2 slices and a pop for $3.50. There's always ranch dressing and hot sauce and the potato pizza is soo hard to resist when you're on a diet...
Any recs near Langley Memorial Hospital?
I have a friend who works at LMH and I've had lunch with her at the japanese place (I cannot recall the name) in view of the entrance (north side of the parking lot). It was okay, streamlined, but good for a quick lunch.
If you have an hour or more, try Nikko Sushi just across the Fraser Highway from the hospital. It's a clean restaurant with friendly service, good food, and quality prices. Now that we've been a few times, they comp us a dish here and there...
If you want a cuisine from somewhere other than the Land of the Rising Sun, you'll have to drive ten minutes west down the Fraser Highway where you have a choice of almost anything from Pho to French.
