Your disappointing purchases from Costco

remember, fat is flavor. Rib Eyes generally have nice marbling and I usually dry age the USDA Choice primal then cut into steaks. Very tasty on the grill. Can't beat Costco's price.

Revere area Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Venue needed

If you want old school Italian, check out DeMaino's.

Why do you continue shopping at CostCo? I am underwhelmed. What do you appreciate about the warehouse store?

no flames, hornets etc, it's your chioce, it's not for everyone.

Rib Challenge at Three Dogz Diner

I dunno, the dogz full rack is quite large. Ever have them?

Rib Challenge at Three Dogz Diner

Looks like your daughter, in the pic, has the making of a great foodie. No fooling around with that rib!

Rib Challenge at Three Dogz Diner

10 minutes!!!...last time I ordered a full rack, it fed two for two meals. When they say a full rack, it's a full rack.

Guy Fieri seen at Angela's, and Cutty's

There's both good and bad. The good; more business, although mostly one timers and probably not sustainable. The bad; the regulars get pushed, ala Rino's, out till the frenzy runs it's course which is probably about a year. Hopefully, the total quality of the place, and the main reason why the place was great to begin with, does not get diminished.

Costco worth it for a couple?

When I was shopping for a set of tires, I found that the discount tire places did not include filling the tires with nitrogen, a $40.00 value. Costco won out easily, plus it added to my yearly cash back.

restaurant/caterer north of boston

It may help if you can be a little more specific about the area, North of Boston covers a large area.

Kelly's, Sullivan's, or Bell Isle ?

Winthrop!!! going upscale and hopefully.... BYOB, hope they don't jump the shark.

Eggplant Parmesan

I don't believe you can equate entree's preped for take out or their sandwich shop vs entree's ordered at their restaurant.

Eggplant Parmesan

don't get your comment, agree GG is very good but, Vinny's cooks their eggplant, in fact everything, to order. whew!! no hotel pans.

Biryani Park - Sri Lankan in Malden

Probably an indicator that their business may be softening. I hope it doesn't change the quality of their food etc. I'd prefer to see them raise their prices and axe the buffet.

Kelly's, Sullivan's, or Bell Isle ?

Agree with Belle Isle, not pretty but, great. One time when I ordered the smelt plate, it was late, and they took all the smelts they had left and made a plate for me, wow huge! I'd take the chow and head to Winthrop and sit by the sea wall.

Eggplant Parmesan

Vinny's in Somerville.

Philly with food allergies!

Maybe a philly cheese steak sans the cheese or an Roast Pork sammie, in Reading terminal, sans the prov.

So Disappointed at Italian choices on North Shore

Another option maybe the Colosseum in Salem, NH.

So Disappointed at Italian choices on North Shore

Have to agree pretty dismal, I prefer to hit Rino's or some of the places in Winthrop. If you want old school, try Ralphie's on rte 28 in Salem, NH. Their fare is good, nothing fancy or gourmet, and reasonable. Another that I haven't tried in quite some time is Orzo, at the Butcher Boy Plaza, in N. Andover. Again, nothing gourmet but, very good. Haven't seen Chef Mike at Zabilgone's in a long time, I do like their chow. I used to like some of the Italian dishes especially the putenesca at Stone Soup in Ipswich but, I just can't stand the arrogance of the waitstaff.

Tilted Kilt

I guess their thing is 42 beers on draft, 42 TV's and 42 waitstaffers in kilts. Oh well....looks like Hooters in a different costume. I'd look for a local place with good food and a good craft beer selection and skip the chains.

Where to buy mini bottle of champagne or prosecco?

Most larger liquor stores will sell or can get you 'splits' (half bottles) of most any wine or bubbly. Martignetti's is large and has an excellent wine dept.

Italian - East Boston

Rino's is excellent, parking on the street isn't too difficult. Jevelli's, is OK, usually has parking available in front of their place. If you go up 145 to Winthrop, you'll have Alia and DiParma with a public parking lot next to Aila and also Rossetti's on the ocean front. All can handle 12 people. All the places in Winthrop are BYOB.

Chains that Cold-Brew their Iced Coffee?

Can't stand that method, it just dilutes the coffee and flavor.

highland kitchen somerville

OK... for me, the service and food better be the same at 10pm as it is at 6pm. If you're open then you're open and ready to take in customers, even at 9:59 pm. As for the comp, if everything 'was' as the OP described AND the OP let the mgr know exactly what the issues were, then I think HK would do the correct thing.

highland kitchen somerville

I'm surprised, their chow is generally righteous. I don't think the time of night should matter, if they state their open, then the chow and service better be flawless. IMO, they should have comped you for your next visit. I'd email the GM about your experience.

Jose's coffee from Costco

Also have listings on-line.

Olives in Charlestown Has Reopened

Website probably shoulda said, "Closed for Re-Invention"

vinny's groupon

From my experience, over the past 2+ years, since Vinny's has been offering buy-one get-one or groupon offers, it has gone down hill.

Moved from North End to North Andover....Need help please.

Glad to hear you tried their Q, the ribs are quite meaty and huge. I was waiting for them to open for dinner again. First time I ordered a full rack, it was a full complete rack, I ate off them for 2 additional days.

BTW - your other post about Thwaites, I'd eat a hub cap if it had filling from them!

Suggestions for a fruit dish and a pastry for a church brunch that would be reasonable for diabetics

Thanks hoty, brain cramp.

Dunkin Artisan Bagels

Artisan = Nice marketing for the term pricey.
