Help me deconstruct...The Monument Inn's Monumental Sauce
I am, for a family dinner, trying to recreate the Monumental Sauce from La Porte's Monument Inn.
If you have tried it, you'll know why.
If you have not, the Monument Inn is one of Houston's MUST try restaurants.
Their Gumbo is great, and I have never tasted any better.

To which hole-in-the-wall BBQ place would you go to impress?
I would recommend Central Texas Style BBQ on Broadway in Pearland. Its very non-corporate with great food but still comfortable and cozy.

Without a doubt I would choose Perrys. The pork chop is four inches thick, smoked long and slow and is the best thing on the menu at a steakhouse.
