Donovans (South Norwalk) or BJ Ryans (Norwalk downtown) arent joints, they are bars, but both have great burgers and will cook them rare if thats how you like them
What do you like in a state other than its "proper" one? Frozen rather than chilled? Stale rather than fresh? etc.

none of the chorizo @ Fariway is actually from Spain, it is flavored with "paprika imported from Spain"
Palacios is the only authentic spanish chorizo I have been able to find locally @ Balduccis

Balduccis/Hay Day usually stocks Palacios, but not the hot version
BBQ food in Ffld Cty for birthday party (Pulled Pork, etc)
the only decent ribs I have had in FFLD County over the past 5 years were the dry-rubbed at Bobby Q's in Westport. I trust that their pulled pork is good as well. Both Ash Creek and Jeffs taste like they came out of a microwave.

Superbowl Gumbo --Andouille near Stamford
Gaspar's Hot Chourico (Portuguese product out of Rhode Island) is available at most supermarkets in lower FFC and is a great substitue for Andouille, I use it in my Jambalaya and it receives raves! Hot or Extra Hot, usually $4 to $5 a pound.

Bagelz at 280 Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk makes a really good cheesesteak, both in wedge and wrap form. they use fresh rib-eye, and have a Middle eastern hot sauce that is the bomb!!!
