Was thinking 'ino for tonight, but want to sit outside I would try the back garden at Palma on Cornelia Street - they have really good Italian food and its a nice setting. |

Beer is Food, Where are the Best Beer 'Establishments' in Manhattan If a large and diverse selection is what you're looking for, I'd try The Ginger Man |

Blue Ribbon Bakery, Jane, or Cookshop for Brunch? I'm planning a brunch for 6 people in a few weeks, and deciding between Blue Ribbon Bakery, Jane, and Cookshop (and any other recommended places!). We're all 30-somethings and budget is @$30-40pp. Of these three places, what should I pick? Any other places worth considering? Downtown (E or W) preferred. One friend is vegan, so that's also something to consider. |

My Quest to try Every Cupcake in NYC Try the dulce de leche or the crimson and cream (red velvet). I live down the street and this place is a dangerous thing to have so close by! |

My Quest to try Every Cupcake in NYC You should check out Sweet Revenge - just opened on 62 Carmine near Bedford st. Their cupcakes are fantastic, and the place is really cute. |

Anyone been to Cabrito on Carmine St. yet? I don't know if it has officially opened yet but it has been busy the last two nights... |

Annoying phone call with BarFry employee I live right across the street, and had heard bad reviews right after it opened. But, we decided to give it a try a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised. It was a friday night and only half full at around 9pm. I thought the service was good, and there were a lot of non-fried food options. It's obviously a touchy subject with the staff, and our waiter made an obvious effort to point out the non-fried options. There was a fluke appetizer that we really liked, and also the tempura pieces weren't as heavy as I heard they were when they first opened. So, in summary, sounds like they're suffering from a weak opening, but they're trying to improve the menu based on the feedback. I would go back. |

Brazilian for birthday group dinner? I'm trying to plan my husband's 30th birthday dinner for 10-12 people for a couple of weeks from now. He really wants Brazilian food, preferably somewhere with great steaks. Any suggestions for potential locations? Any thoughts on Churrascaria Plataforma, Carne Vale, or Delicia Brazil? |

My husband and I have started a "date night" every other friday night - any suggestions for restaurants we should add to the list? Budget is around $60-$130 total. I would avoid Thai and Indian. So far we've been to: |

Want to go to Rolf's but........ I went last Tuesday night at 7:30 and it was pretty packed. It got a lot less crowded at around 8:30 - we got seats at the bar for drinks - no food. Definitely a fun stop during the holidays just for the decor... |

I'm looking for a place for a holiday steak dinner (for 3 of us), but would like to try something other than the Smith & Wollensky, Peter Luger - type places - Any recommendations for places with great steak in the W.Village/Greenwich Village/Meatpacking? |
