Pigheaded: Standard’s New Smoked Summer Special
Not much meat on a head, it's a 1 person eat, the meat that is there is really very good, especially the cheeks, messy to dig around to get to the meat. The one I bought came without the brains etc, just the head, weighed about 20 lbs. mostly skull, fun to try once!
Pork Barrel BBQ
Tom Sietsema, slammed it a few Wednesdays ago. If I got a review like that after all the work to open up, I'd jump out a window!

Playa Del Rey - House Sitting
I lived in PdR from 1972 to 1983, a good friend of mine owned The Shack, I'd work there for him for free. The place rocked, folks came from all over for a Shackburger. Rick would close at night, break out the Dominos, Coke, and we'd do lines and drink beer/wine, and rattle the Bones all night long. Ah youth!
Heading to LA- Wolfgang Puck restaurant worth it?
"Cut", Chef Puck's place in the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills is fantastic, and expensive, but worth it.
Volt Table 21 Dinner
I have had dinner at CUT in the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, 3 times. All 3 times Wolfgang Puck was in the Kitchen, hard to believe considering the huge empire he oversees, all 3 times he visited every table in the restaurant, I had my picture, taken by my wife, with him. As a Chef / restaurant owner, it was a big thrill. Bryan is young, granted, but needs to learn thr PR side of our business.
Best lunch in Frederick, Md.?
Mexicali Cantina on Market on the way out of downtown has terrific food and great Marguaritas
Westminster Maryland
Maggies off main St. is really good, huge eclectic menu, also Buds at Silver Run, between Westminister and Littlestown, Pa, a short hop from downtown Westminister, is a great restaurant.
Visiting for the first time
For breakfast, Nate'n Als in Beverly Hills, go early and catch Larry King, and one of the Little Rascles, Jackie Cooper, great grub. The Bacon and Hash Browns, world class.
The Tasting Room
I live in Frederick County, IMHO The Tasting Room in downtown Frederick, is the best upscale restaurant around, no I have nothing to do with it, anyone ever tried it....Lobster Mashed Potatoes, mmmm
HELP!!!! MEXICAN SEAFOOD COCKTAIL NEEDED
Get yourself some deveined raw shrimp, Talapia, and large scallops, cut the up to desired size, cilantro, chopped red onions, ground pepper, a little jalapeno if you want, lime juice to halfway in a tupperware, marinate 12 hours turning once, drain the juice, stay home and enjoy!
Best Steak Tartare in LA ?
IMHO, the Polo Lounge, they let you choose your ingredients and how much of each, it's an entree not an app IMO, You eat all of it yourself, your done, plus it's so good I refuse to share it, pig that I am.
The Shack
I'm a DC hound now, lived in Playa del Rey in the 70's 80's, ate a zillion Shackburgers, they still good as they were way back when Rick Bicker owned it?
