Tickets / 41 degrees walk in

Thanks estufarian. I was confused why 41 degrees wasn't on the website, so now it makes sense! I saw the 50 restaurant list and was sort of sad about that knowing that it will make going there virtually impossible. If anyone else has ideas I'd appreciate them!

Tickets / 41 degrees walk in

It seems from my research that there is some chance to get into either of these restaurants walking in. I'm in Barcelona for a week and would love to hear if there are any tips to make it more likely. Certain nights? Times? Any info would be so much appreciated!!!! Thank you

San Juan Dining Question

My husband and i are in Puerto Rico and have had a great trip so far (I'll write up a post when its all done!) We were in San Juan for a few days and ate at great places (Jose Enrique, Marmalade, and Punta De Vista). We are now in Rio Grande, headed to Vieques in a few days.

We're going to have one night in San Juan at the end of the trip and want to do one more dining experience. We met a guy at Jose Enrique who is a "local foodie" and he recommended 3 places:
La Jaquita Baya (newer place),
My DH read about 1919 in a San Juan newspaper and is intrigued.

Any thoughts on this? La jaquita baya has GREAT reviews on other sites - but nothing here. not sure if that's due to its newness. The others seem more established...

Thanks in advance and I'll be sure to post after the trip is complete...there is a lot of food down here!

Puerto Rico with Toddler

Hello! My husband and I are travelling to Puerto Rico next week for 2 weeks with our daughter who is almost 2 years old. We are staying in Old San Juan for 5 days, near El Yunque for about 4 days and then the rest of the time in Vieques. We are going to have a car for the whole time so we plan on venturing out to other parts of the country as well for day trips, etc.

There is a lot of information on the board about PR... I'm wondering if anyone has travelled there with children and has any recommendations on the best restaurants (food-wise, of course!) that are also ok for kids in terms of atmosphere (our daughter will eat anything - but don't want to bring her into the wrong place where if she makes noise, etc it will disturb others). Also - any great restaurants that we should try and go to and get a sitter????

Thanks for any advice. As always, I'll be perusing the boards extensively, but appreciate any and all anecdotes anyone would like to share!

Anyone been to Dassara in Carroll gardens yet? It's getting good reviews and we are considering a trip. Curious if anyone has checked it out! Much thanks!

Battersby: tasting menu or regular?

My husband and I have a rare date night Planned for tomorrow (parents in town and babysitting!). We want to try battersby but I'm wondering whether I should try and get a reservation for the tasting menu (might br too late anyway for that? I sent an email so we will see) or just go and eat from the standar menu. Thoughts? Thanks!!

Park Slope recommendations

I second the rec for Surfish. Great food and service. I also agree that Blue Ribbon prices are outrageous.

Montreal - Food location question

Yes driving! Thanks for replies!!

Montreal - Food location question

I'm VERY excited that my husband and daughter (1.5 yrs old) are making our first trip to Montreal from our home in Brooklyn for 5 days at the end of September. I'm perusing the message boards, and see there is a lot of discussion about children and Montreal so please refer me to any historical threads that you believe might be helpful to answer my questions!

Here they go:

1. We are interested in good food! What are the best places to go?!?! We like all kinds of cuisine, and would be interested in places where we can bring our daughter - and places where we could go without her and get a sitter! We are willing to splurge a couple of times, but can also look at restaurant websites to get an idea of how much places cost to make a decision about that.

2. We are starwood point junkies (like many people, right?) and so we are deciding between the Le Meridian, the Sheraton and the W. These all seem fairly close to each other, but are any of them better from a food perspective? We would love to be in an area where there are good bakeries, etc... any of these better than the other?

Thanks for any insight!!

Sedona Girls Trip - HELP!

My friend is having her bachelorette party in Sedona the weekend of March 8th. We are going to be about 8 or so women (in our early 30s). We won't be crazy or anything, but I don't want to go to place with a romantic or quiet atmosphere.

Are there any suggestions as to a good place for dinner ? Cafe Elote is getting such good reviews, but they don't take reservations so I'm thinking that won't work.

Has anyone done the wine tours in Sedona? Are they worth it?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
