Does anyone have any experience with Ikea kitchen cabinets?

We put ours in in 2003. They look great, work great, no hassles. We used an installer that we got from IKEA. I put the island together myself - not rocket science at all!. One thing that's cool, you could pick out practically any "look" from a kitchen design book or magazine and duplicate it inexpensively with IKEA. We made some buying errors that resulted in over $1000 in returns - no problems at all. AND - my oven hood was stolen off the truck so it was on the manifest but was not in the shipment. My contractor signed for the shipment under "received uninspected" and they still sent me out another hood at no charge, no suspicious questions, no problems.

I have the thicker oak and I really like them. You will need to oil them. I'm thinking of adding another island top on top of the old one to make it thiicker. At only $200 you cannot go wrong!

Ikea

I love my Ikea Senior stuff, I have two dutch ovens. Also, Chefmate and Batalli are made in China - the Ikea line is actually from France.

Lodge or IKEA enameled dutch ovens?

The IKEA is amazing. Made in France(like Le Crueset) NOT China! Just now they have the 8 qt. oven for the same price as the 5 Qt. $59 IT WON'T LAST.
The inside is seasoned cast iron. really fantastic. I have Le Creuset, Descoware, Dru Holland..... Batali too IKEA is amazing for the price only one colour the pesto green....

also never use soap on the inside if you can help it - just use a nylon scraper and water

Stovetop to oven it's great.
