Shortbread Cookies in the blue can

Hey there. I'm from Hilo too! I remember getting them from Longs. It brings back memories from my childhood too. I loved them!

It's too bad that they don't make them any more. The closest I've found is from Hanalima bakery here on Kauai, but still it doesn't compare. I think some people are trying to get in touch with family members to see if they could get the recipe.

Family restaurants near TD Banknorth center

Aloha all!
We will be visiting Boston in a few weeks... my husband will be going to a Celtics game and I wanted to take my 6 year old daughter to get a bite to eat while he was at the game (we are staying very near by). Where do you recommend - affordable and kid friendly? I know there's a McD's nearby, but I'd like to avoid that if possible (a sit down restaurant w/ a menu would be good...something like a Denny's, Rainforest Cafe, or mom and pop cafe-type place).

I don't want to be walking around too much since it'll be dark (by the way, is it a pretty safe area to be walking around at night?) Is there anything to do at night nearby? Stores? And by walking distance, I mean 1/4 mile max (my 6 year old won't want to walk too far after a full day's activities).

Thanks for any help...

Shortbread Cookies in the blue can

Hi! I remember those cookies too and also have been trying to find them with no luck. I think they are made by a Seattle company called Baders. As far as I know though, they do not have a website and I haven't found anyone online that carries them. Hope that helps and maybe someone will be able to find them!
