flay's show is unfortunately advertising. They don't claim to pick the best of the best if you know what I mean. Most of the Food TV shows are infomercials if you didn't know. Nobody I know has ever even heard of Serios.
Best Restaurants for Mardi Gras
If Mothers is what you like, i suggest drive thru food because everything is closed Fat Tuesday. Crescent City Steakhouse is open though. Just steaks and taters but yummy, 1940's throwback place in Midcity
Luke Last Night
I agree, how long before Luke is closed? It cant be more than another year! Tried 3 times and every time it was horrible! Food is really average and service is worse, if thats possible! I bet 100 bucks it's gone before mardi gras 2009
HELP NYC/France hound on cheap eats
Parkway has best roast beef, try gravy fries also. Domilise has best shrimp by far!!!! Special sauce distinguishes it!!! Crabby Jacks for the duck poboy for sure!!! but that parasols is dirty and the food is terrible!!! Dont believe the hype about parasols!! Waste of time and doesnt represent the best of NOLA!!!! Do not miss Domilises shrimp before you go home! and Im a chef!
Luke Last Night
Luke is terrible! I have tried it 3 times now and had the worst service!!! One other table and I waited 30 minutes for a pork sandwich in which the pork was old and gamey! Terrible service and cafeteria quality food. I give this bomb 6-12 months tops.
Most overrated NOLA restaurants
Dragos! great grilled oysters but other than that , it's bad food! Terrible waiting lines to put your name in to eat!!!!!! What is the deal with the crappy way they make people wait just to oput in a name?
