Minnesota State fair - any coan't misses?

My "I don't get it" item is the Sweet Martha's cookies. Why do people rave about mediocre cookies just because they're served in a bucket?

MSP: St. Paul Trader Joe's Opening

So does the Woodbury store.

MSP: St. Paul Trader Joe's Opening

It's not true. They sell beer and wine at the St. Paul location.

Has anyone been to the Blue Door in St. Paul?

I went once and wasn't impressed.

My juicy lucy wasn't put together well, so the cheese had oozed out of the burger and was all over the basked by the time it reached the table. Call me crazy, but if I order a juicy lucy I expect the cheese to be inside the burger when I start eating.

It was also very loud, and too crowded to be comfortable.

Red Velvet cake in MSP

I was also disappointed by Sheela's cupcakes. Try were small, bland and way overpriced. I didn't try the red velvet cupcakes when I went to Letterbox, because they were vegan. I think it is a bit of a shame to make a red velvet cupcake without cream cheese frosting.

MSP-Best Biscuits and Gravy?

I think that the biscuits and gravy at the Town Talk Diner are very good.

St. Paul - Classic Pizza?

Classic Pizza isn't great, but it's less greasy than Carbone's and Grampa Tony's. Rocco's on Randolph also sells square cut pizza, but I haven't been there in quite a while.

True Chicago style pizza in Mpls?

I'd been getting my fix by buying Gino's East frozen pizzas from Cub, but sadly those have disappeared from shelves.

MSP - Minnesota and Western Wisconsin Originals

I've given Carbone's a chance, but their pizza is always drenched in grease. Square cut pizza is definitely a Midwest original, but I'd go to Savoy's if you want square cut pizza in St. Paul.

Gift options for dining in the Twin Cities

True Thai sells gift certificates. I just bought one this afternoon.
