Recs for restaurants near the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott?

Piedigrotta is a wonderful Italian bakery nearby. Attman's deli is a little bit further, but still very walkable.

Recs for restaurants near the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott?

No TV - head east to Fell's Point and catch the 2nd half at Max's

Recs for restaurants near the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott?

In Harbor East, the enoteca side of Cinghiale is a must. Vino Rosina is a nice wine bar / smaller plates kind of place. Mixed opinions of Pazo, but I've always enjoyed it. It has a nice bar-lounge area too. Further east in Fells Point, there are plenty of decent bar/restaurants (Duda's, Alexander's) and more upscale options (Mezze, Kali's Court, Black Olive). For breakfast, definitely Miss Shirley's between Harbor East and the Inner Harbor or Blue Moon in Fell's.

Back from the Finger Lakes

Could not agree more on both!! Really enjoyed the UBI a few months back.

Cortland/Ithaca

Agreed - would add Fine Line Bistro and Bandwagon Brewpub, both in Ithaca. Oh, and definitely agree with Northstar.

Ithaca restaurants

Thumbs up for Bandwagon - bonus pts for lots of good housemade beer options. Fine Line Bistro is a newer place - very good also. Mercato Italian Kitchen has been getting a lot of buzz - haven't been yet. Also, we like Just a Taste and Madeline's desserts. Maxie's is fun.

Dinner in Skaneateles or Seneca Falls?

Just west of Seneca Falls in Geneva, Halsey's and Red Dove Tavern are our 2 faves. The former has a great happy hour and is a bit more upscale in appearance. The latter is a tasty gastropub with good beer on tap.

Thanksgiving Eve at The Boatyard - Ithaca

I don't understand the love for this place. Is it because it's on the water? The menu and execution is fairly pedestrian. There's nothing special or inventive going on here. Like you said, average at best. They do handle the crowds fairly well though.

Baltimore Girls Weekend (late 20's)- HELP!!!! :)

1) Harbor East & Fells Point - lots of upscale and funky options
2) Mama's on the Half Shell - on the square in Canton
3) Talara in Harbor East
4) The Get Down (old Fletcher's spot) in Fells
5) Miss Shirley's - between Inner Harbor & Harbor East

Review - Pioneer Pit Beef

Sorry, I also prefer sugar and cream in my coffee

Review - Pioneer Pit Beef

A burger's not a burger without a ripe slab of tomato, a slice of raw onion and fresh, crispy lettuce (cheese and bacon if you must); likewise, the pit beef needs to be medium rare with horseradish sauce and raw onions - that's it.

Finger Lakes, NY - Wines and Vineyards

I wouldn't say Dr Frank's is $$$, plus there's no tasting fee. Red Newt has a great restaurant, but the wine (especially red) is lacking. Silver Spring isn't FLX grapes. The best reds on the east side of Seneca are at Chateau Lafayette Reneau, Damiani, Bloomer Creek, Lamoreaux Landing, and Kings Garden.

Three dinners in Baltimore - looking for casual spot with good food. Maybe a great NY style pizza?

Heard good things about Bagby Pizza Co right near you in Harbor East - thin crust & lots of fresh toppings

Finger Lakes, NY - Wines and Vineyards

It would help if we had more info - the FLX is a pretty large area. Where are you staying and how long? As a whole, Keuka Lake has generally the best wines (Ravines & Dr. Frank's are a must for both reds & whites). Seneca has the most wineries, but one third of them should be avoided. For reds, we like Kings Garden, Lamoreaux Landing, Chateau Lafayette Reneau, Damiani's, Shaw, and Bloomer Creek; for whites, it's Lakewood, Atwater, and Standing Stone. Around Seneca, our favorite restaurants are Suzanne's, Stonecat Cafe, Dano's, Red Newt, Ports Cafe, and Halsey's. BTW, typically the best white and reds are rieslings & cab francs. As for Cayuga Lake, the preferred wineries include Sheldrake Point (which also has a wonderful bistro - Simply Red) and Six Mile. Ithaca has tons of dining options. Our faves are Just a Taste, Maxie's, Za-Za's, Fine Line Bistro, and North Star Pub. Hazelnut Kitchen in Trumansburg is excellent also. Those are the big 3 lakes - haven't ventured to Canandaigua or Skaneatles yet.

Looking for good eats in Ithaca and Geneva

Had drinks and apps (3 spreads w/ toasted pita and cranberry/jalapeno mac & cheese) at the bar at Northstar this past weekend - really enjoyed the vibe and menu. We'll return for a full meal.

Seneca Falls - where do you shop for groceries?

IMHO, the Wegman's in Geneva is a notch or two below the ones in Corning and Ithaca. Still good, but not the best in their chain. Also, check out Mac's Drive-in, on the west side of Waterloo, for a nostalgic and inexpensive trip (handcut fries, root beer floats and lots of fried stuff).

Looking for good eats in Ithaca and Geneva

Dijon was sold in Dec '09. Mark Papera, the chef/owner, is now at the Bistro at Thirsty Owl Wine Co, overlooking Cayuga Lake near Ovid.

Looking for good eats in Ithaca and Geneva

On Rt 89 in Interlaken (halfway between Geneva & Ithaca) is Cayuga Creamery - lots of yummy flavors. I prefer it over Purity.

Looking for good eats in Ithaca and Geneva

In Ithaca, Dijon is currently closed. Ithaca Bakery is good for breakfast & lunch; FineLine Bistro is a nice business/casual dinner choice (as is, Just a Taste tapas). For Geneva, check out Red Dove Tavern, Ports Cafe & Madderlake Cafe (relocating sometime this summer). A nice, winery lunch option is Simply Red at Sheldrake Pt, about 15 minutes southeast.

Ann's - Glen Burnie

tried the footlongs once 10 yrs ago - i was more impressed w/ the order takers than the dogs. IMHO, there's nothing special about a boiled frank on an inferior roll. I'd sooner take the 75 minute drive to New Castle DE (The Dog House) than the 10 min to Ann's.

Good place for dinner in Crofton or Greenbelt, MD?

Four Seasons Grille , in the Waugh Chapel center near the Italian Market, is your best bet in Crofton.

Alexander's in Fells is good and kid-friendly.

Sweet Sixteen Party

How many people?

Woodberry kitchen has a private room.

Restaurants Near Renaissance Harborplace Hotel

La Scala or La Tavola are two of the better, moderately priced LI choices.

Need a fun restaurant for food & drinks in Baltimore

the enoteca at Cinghiale in Harbor East

Heights Grill, Mahagoney or Dijon in Ithaca

Mahogany is nothing special. Of the other two (which I haven't been to but know others who have), Dijon gets the nod - upscale French despite it's dreary strip mall location.

Upscale in Ithaca

Felicia's is a funky little bar/club with tasty snacks and yummy drinks - nice HH too.
