but thanks for the link!

Must have noodle soup places and others! Pretty please~~~
So, I'm from LA but I've been gone for about a year. Thats the short of it, I'll be visiting for less than a week and all I want to do is eat really.
When I'm back I am in dyer need of chinese beef noodle soup, and hand torn noodle spots, dim sum, soup dumplings and dumplings in general....Killer asian places would be great to hear about although I do understand that this also sounds crazy as there are so very many!
I love love love noodles. And I love soup. I miss asian food in general!!!! Any suggestions and I'm willing to drive! I was assuming SGV was where I'd need to go for most of it.
And any extra thoughts on Olympic Noodle as well as JTYH for the lamb noodle? Please let me know...Thank you!!!

Westside Delivery...Soup???
I'm desperately seeking a good soup delivery option in the west los angeles area. Something hearty enough for a meal...is this possible?
Any suggestions? I like all kinds, Thai, Matzoh Ball, anything....
Miceli's
I also agree and think MIceli's is all about atmosphere. Its great coz its old and kitschy. I used to love and have drinks there with friends. But don't go because you want to be blown away by the food...
What do you think of Rachael Ray's picks?
I can not stand Rachel Ray. She is such a bummer all around...
BUT. I've lived here my whole life and love food and as horrifying her choices might be, I love all the old timey historic places she picked. But yes, its very much for memories sake...Love Canter's, love the pantry and I love Cliftons...El Cholo even doesn't bug me that much for margarita's and fun with others...But, I also take people to El Coyote because it's where Sharon Tate had her last meal...so...
Hop Woo - Olympic & Sepulveda
this place is weirdo. only coz it doesn't completely suck figuring there is absolutely NO chinese food on the westside. but my history of it where it wasn't awful was when my aunt and uncle have gone with me and my family and spoke perfect dialect chinese to the waiters and we got good food. there won ton soup doesn't suck and the one other time i ate there and it wasn't bad was when i caught them all eating lunch noodle soup from the back and i asked them to give me what they were having. i dunno. go figure. i just choose not to eat chinese on the westside where i live. oh well.
Kinder German Chocolate...
thanks for all your notes! i'm in need of a hippo fix. the pocket coffee seems to be a online thing so far...but i bought a trofft of it so i have some of those left.

Attari Sandwich Shop
I finally made my way to this sandwich place over on westwood and i ordered the kuku sandwich. Most people who I read ate there loved this one the most.
And, I was horrified coz I just didn't love it! It didn't have the pickled radishes I expected but an actual pickle and it was just so-so...It was not amazing.
I was so looking forward to this place. Where did I go wrong?????!@#$%^

Fish Stock West L.A.
I know I could make the stuff, but I was curious where I could buy some really yummy great fish stock? Anywhere on the westside would be awesome.
joe's NY pizza in santa monica = hyped & awful
ok, i would eat at joe's again i just think i wish my slice was right outta the oven...and i love the beach!! hmm...regardless of the hideousness of the 3rd st. promenade.
joe's NY pizza in santa monica = hyped & awful
i had a regular slice as well as a mozz slice and i dunno. if it was hot hot hot out of the oven maybe it would have been better? but overall, it was just, eh? not bad not good. i dunno. and vito's is good but very pricey for a slice and i did not have enough topping action when i got mine there.
Top Chef Contestant restaurants in LA?
i unknowingly went to bettys restaurant grub and i didn't like it one bit. the service, price or food. i never really liked her personality on the show either. people seem to love her restaurant and i might have gotten an off day but oh well. i did breakfast there. they screwed up my eggs and it was all downhill from there...
