Kosher heritage turkeys in the NC Triangle area?

I'm still looking for a kosher heritage bird in 2014. Would love an update if anyone has advice on a source.

D'Arbo Elderflower Syrup

Anyone know where I can find D'Arbo Elderflower syrup in Brooklyn? Fairway Red Hook does not stock it!

Flatbush Hounds

I went looking for Bissaleh and Borekas Plus yesterday and could not find them. Bissaleh is verifiably out of business - there's a big sign out front. I could not identify the storefront where Borekas Plus was. I believe the building has been torn down?

Note to self: before setting out hungry to hound down chow in Midwood, check the dates of the previous posts!

Pacharon

A friend told me recently of a delicious myrtle-based liquor from northern Spain called pacharon. (The spelling may be incorrect.) Does anyone have any experience with it? A Google search yields only one, unhelpful result.

D'Arbo Elderflower syrup

Good news - Elderflower is back in stock at Zabar's. I picked up a bottle today.

This is a good source for you:

The winner last year, the Hallo Berlin sausage cart, is simply fantastic. Fifth avenue and 53rd or 52nd - somewhere in the low 50s, right in front of the University Club. Get the triple combination sausage plate!

D'Arbo Elderflower syrup

Friends,
Zabar's seems to have stopped stocking D'Arbo Elderflower syrup, which I like to mix with seltzer (and sometimes ginger or lemon) to make soft drink elixir. Any suggestions about where I could source this syrup (or a suitable substitute) locally? I know it's available online, but I prefer to buy it in the city.

So you can picture what I am talking about:

Many thanks,

Very good to know. Thanks for this intelligence. I was thinking about going there, but now, I think, will stay home.

Where to buy an cezve/ibrik?

Where online were you able to find coffee from Mehmet Efendi? I see they have a site, but it does not seem to take orders.

I miss their shop at perhaps the most fragrant corner in all of Istanbul.

Best popcorn?

I've been looking into alternatives to Orville Redenbacher, a ConAgra brand, ie, pure agribusiness monoculture. Is White Cat the best? Or Black Jewel? Are there any good organic options for real, non-microwave popcorn?

Pegu Club, Milk and Honey - any others?

Can someone help with the new number for Milk and Honey? Frustratingly, they've changed it and the one in my phone no longer works!

Agnanti Meze: i'm FURIOUS

Sorry to hear this redgirl. Aganti has outstanding food, but I've found they are not so professional in taking reservations and otherwise running the business. It's a bit of a mom and pop operation, for better and for worse. I had a birthday party there last year and it took maybe 7-8 back and forth voicemails and calls with the mom, the daughter, the place in Brooklyn, the place in Queens, etc. in order to get everything sorted out.

Help! German sausage needed ASAP!

Do you mean a restaurant or a butcher? If the former, how about Hallo Berlin (the cart or the beer hall)?

Best Bagels on the upper west side between 77th and 100 streets on or near broadway- with butter/jelly and a place to sit down

Absolute is an excellent choice. Lenny's is a good second option, though a bit dingy. Can we have a moment of silence on memory of Columbia Hot Bagels? Does anyone know of another source for caraway bagels?

L’Exquisitous

Any reviews of L’Exquisitous at Manhattan Ave. and 107th Street? Apparently it's the heir to Gumbo Cafe and serves muffalettas.

This is all I've been able to find about the place:

komi - regular menu or tasting?

I just had a sensational meal at Komi - the tasting menu - and want to share my gratitude with the Washington-area Chowhounds who directed me there. Many, many thanks for pointing me to a truly memorable evening.

Which coffee do you buy from the supermarket?

Better supermarkets now carry Illy coffee, from Trieste. Very good and consistent, if pricey.

Plum Pomodor-- lower Wash Heights

That's sounds like a lot of money for the neighborhood. Why not get on the subway and go to Lupa, where you'd spend less and eat some of the most delicious Italian food on the planet?
