wichcraft is very BAD and craft is not great either. his restaurants are mediocre, gramercy tavern (which is GREAT) got better right after he left.
Goose Foie Gras [Split from Manhattan board]
WHY is it that here we just get duck fois gras?!!! I love Goose fois, but havent had it out of europe. I don't like the duck fois...is there any law prohibiting goose fois in the states?

go to Bao111 and then head to The Stone or go see teddy charles at the V.Vanguard. Avoid Blue note, there's nothing great there this week anyway unless you like spyro gyra, i'd rather get a cab to town hall and see ornette coleman.

Thanks, I'll try those stores. Well, i see that maybe beer hunting is a better option here. I am also a beer lover so, in terms of beer what do you reccommend? Ive heard of -but haven't tried yet- Abita Beer (Turbodog, Amber, Jockamo IPA, Restorarion Ale), Heiner Brau, Dixie's Blackened Voodoo Lager...what else is worth trying?

Hi I just most moved to NOLA from the NY area and am wondering which are the best places to buy wine (any location is fine) and also, is there anything in particular i should be looking forward to buy? Maybe something that was difficult to find in the NY area?
