Two new Restaurants on Atlantic Ave.
While doing the Antic today, I passed two new restaurants on Atlantic between Hicks and Clinton. A barbeque place and a pizza place. Anyone try them out?
What to buy at Trader Joe's?
It's finally open but the lines look sooo long! What's particularly worth that mile long line?
Viva - How have I not known about this?
While biking around Red Hook the other night, my friend and I stumbled upon Viva. Food was really tasty, really affordable and the lovely server gave us free lethal margaritas to boot. This is not a high class joint, but the food was really, really good; certainly surpasses the other Tex-Mex in in Cobble Hill/Carrol Gardens.
I had chicken enchiladas and my friend had the flautas, neither was over "cheezed" both came with rice, black beans and guac.
Does anyone have recommendations for our next visit?
Actually pretty decent Chinese on Smith
I tried takeout from a new (to me) restaurant on Smith - Szechuan Garden, between Warren and Wycoff. I have to admit, the food was pretty tasty. I ordered my standard - Kung Pau chicken and sesame noodles, the food came fast, piping hot (the chicken) really fresh looking and quite tasty. My noodles were light, not greasy and quite delicious. The chicken was really succulent and just spicy enough, vegetables were crisp and fresh.
Has anyone else tried this place? I'm thinking of ordering again, this time I'd like to try something new.
