The Induction Debate...

Hello all,

I've had a basic electric stove top that cost about 200€ MAX in my apartment, and thinking of finally updating. Induction has come up on my list of options. I have specifically found an AEG product that is being sold at my local store for 999€. I will post a link to the product for reference. So here is there real question: I am 21 and have some money in my savings, but is the investment truly worth it? How many years can I expect to keep such a product? 5 years, 10 years, 20+? I have Le Creuset pans and Zwilling which are both compatible, so pans are not an issue. All in all, I really wanna know if the money is worth what I am buying. They have cheaper models from different companies in the 500-600€ range but they look cheap, and that worries me. I hope someone can help me make a conscious decision here because sometimes I jump in the water without thinking and make mistakes with purchases. Thanks in advance!

Need advice with some cookware!

Good to know! I'm going look for things in the cheaper category then! Although, I still would love to expand my LC items. Are there any other items from LC that would be worth buying. As of now I only have the 2 items from LC, and a 5 piece pots set from Zwilling. So on the pots end I am set, but everything else is open!

I love this website, finally people that are willing to help me better my love and appreciation for cooking!

Need advice with some cookware!

Sorry for the late response! I have currently a standard electric stove, nothing spectacular. I DO plan on in the next couple years to invest in Induction. I am a student that makes ok money, but waiting to invest in decent things so that im not constantly replacing pans like I have been with IKEA cook ware.

I thank EVERYONE for their replies!!

Thanks Paul!
I have an electric stove, for now. I plan on upgrading to Induction once I can. Im posting a picture of the All-Rounder from LC. IF the LC arent as practical as other items.. Could you recommend me other Brands/Items. I get a 10% discount, not that it makes a massive difference. Thanks again!

Need advice with some cookware!

I currently live in Berlin, Germany and bought some Le Creuset cookware recently (a frying pan and a all-rounder pot), and could not be any more pleased. I love them! I am looking into buying the Wok and Tagine from them because I love Asian food and love the idea of a Tagine since we don't get Crock Pots or anything similar here. I have some money set aside but I am only 21 and IF I am going to invest in cookware I want it to be worth it. So my question for everyone here is: IS the Le Creuset Wok and Tagine much better than cheaper versions of the two? Can anyone recommend me another brand for either of these? I want a quality product that wont have to be replaced in a year. I thank everyone in advance!
