Princeton new restaurant

Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze and a currently under renovation Brick House Tavern are the newest I know off but are all on Rt 1. More Lawrenceville than Princeton

Need DC'ers who may be familiar with nightclubs about 15yrs back????

Thank you so much. I googled also and came back with the opera lounge. Some pics resemble my memory but the clear decider was the electric substation and the open floor on 2 and 3 or maybe just 2.

Westfield rumor(s)

So, the demise of Aqua Viva del Fonti was upsetting as my wife and I enjoyed sitting outside many a summer night there. Thought the food was always consistent and service as well but apparently something was amiss.

Well, a Westfield official confirmed our hopes that the Harvest Group (Roots steakhouse, Huntley Tavern, 3 West, etc etc) will be opening a "tavern style" establishment in the ole Aqua location! Awesome....

Hopefully someone will also reopen the Jeffrey's location with something enjoyable in the near future.

Sunday brunch spot?
I have a hard time stuffing myself on Summer Sundays, and besides that it isn't very becoming to a speedo body. (Prefer somewhere w/liquor and Union/Middlesex/Morris/Essex(good parts)maybe Somerset County.

My quick list is:
Mcloone's Boathouse-West Orange
Rod's-Convent Station/Morristwon
Boulevard 57-Kenilworth

What AC restaurant will you miss most?

Someone will buy Revel...once it is closed for a few months. Im going on the record saying Trump. Close the Plaza b/c its a dump and buy a sweet new Billion dollar casino for pennies on the dollar.

Seems to be Trumps business model

You really think it takes that long to get to Salt???

Nice ride though if you have a convertible or motorcycle

Azure at The Revel in Atlantic City

I agree and feel exactly the same. Harrahs is $320 plus tax this Saturday but I can go to Vegas and stay 4 nights for $385 plus tax at the Paris. Both with TR card.

Won't be long until AC washes to sea completely

Essex House West Orange -- reopening

Yes, (I'm pretty sure this is 95% true)
My coworker is friends with the owners family. The children of the original ownership are bringing this back. I dont have much info on the dates or menu.

This was a fixture growing up. Never had the chance to dine here but my grandparents spoke of it like we would The Manor, Ryland Inn or similar....

Windmill Restaurant In Westfield NJ Is it still at this Location???

100% correct, I think its now called A-street deli or something. Horrible spot for anything food related as there is zero parking even with the municipal lot.

Maybe why Windmill didnt stay

Last minute date night in the Brunswicks areas

I like Steakhouse 85 b/c they have a Jazz band and a Friday night date night special which is usually fair priced.

I also like the place around the corner, let me google it...Due Mari

Clyd'z has better than decent food and a great scene, if you can tolerate the young crowd as the night gets later

Amuse in Westfield

So, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Really was not excited by the menu but we ended up having lunch on a Saturday outside and the salad was great, the nueske bacon was great, and the croque madame was also great.

I do think the price point may be slightly high but it is Westfield. I hope it doesnt end up hurting this new spot.

Easter Brunch?

We go to Stone House in Warren, other good spots are Rods in Madison, Boathouse in South Orange, Boulevard 57 in Kenilworth and I got advertisements for Portobella in Oakland

Dinner and live jazz in Jersey City?

Not that I know of. Check out Liberty House on Zapp Drive, I am almost positive they do from time to time. Great view, lil pricey.
Across the highway to Hoboken you may find some at Frankie and Johnnys.

Brunch/lunch spots around Menlo Park or Edison NJ?

Personally, I dont think there is much good brunch in that area at all.
To me:
Skylark is a diner, a good one none the less
Le Peep, doesnt have a liquor license so thats out for me.

I am a huge brunch fan and cant ever find much in that area. Tried New Brunswick too and not much.

Sorry, Im not much help but thats my $.02

Amuse in Westfield

Just FYI-this is not in the Chez Catherine location. It is next to Teresas and Mojave Grille. It may still be a CJ establishment but so as people dont head to the hotel location.

Tried to go Saturday for lunch as we have exhausted every other place in Westfield and the snow clean up was horrendous so we left.

Still think Brick Oven is the only worth while BYO in Westfield. Unfortunately, Ferraro's is just ehhhh and Aqua Viva does not have lunch to the best of my knowledge.

16 prospect, westfield

Sad to say, the food here used to be very good and the wine selection nice as well. Now we wont step foot inside. Its a really quaint space and just needs some new life but it seems to stay crowded

Need a good place to watch the Super Bowl

Sayreville, right by the old Abyss night club is usually a good time:
http://www.alehousenj.com/

If you want some drunken debauchery, check out Central Park in Linden. The old owners from Abyss/DEKO lounge throw a wild party and the place has been crazy all season with scantilly clad females, buffet and such. Just depends on the crowd youre looking to hang with I suppose

Arthur's Tavern - Morris Plains

Personally, I like Roots in Summit or Ruth's Chris in Weehawken. Used to enjoy Dino & Harry's in Hoboken and even Sebastiens in Morristown. Havent been to the 2 latter names in over 2 yrs though.

Strip House in Livingston gets a nod of satisfaction from me as well.

I would like to try The Palm, and Hamilton and Ward in Patterson but cant say I have heard anything about them good or bad besides YELP reviews

mid-price restaurant suggestion for Livingston area?

Manors nor Highlawn are going to be considered mid price range. Those are special occasion dining establishments.

Curlz said it best... Pretty spot on.

Huntley Tavern in Summit is a very hip spot for a young couple. If they have to dish out a few bucks, they won't be upset.
Fin in Montclair is a fave...and BYoB which might meet your needs.
Panevino is a little better than Olive Garden.
Pazzo Pazzo in Morristown, not the best food but a swanky spot for young people.
Strip House in Livingston is about the only reason we go there. Everyone loves steak right????
