Absolutely the BEST ice cream recipe I have tried yet!!! Been making ice cream for many summers now, and I am constantly searching for a recipe that is yummy. Most are good, in fact delicious, but after the ice cream freezes for a day or even a few hours in freezer, the texture is icy and hard. This recipe was soft and velvety. Absolutely PERFECT texture. The taste is exactly what you would want from a vanilla ice cream. I only added 1 1/2 beans instead of 2, and it was awesome!!! The only other adjustment I would make next time is add maybe an extra 1/2 cup of half and half because it was really thick once it chilled. In my Rival ice cream maker it began to stop after only 15 mins... But all in all this recipe is one for the book!!!
