What kind of beef is used for a Steak & Cheese Sub?

I make mine with "pepper steak" from Henry's of Beverly.
Very thinly sliced top of the round that is easily shredded in the pan while cooking. Turns out great every time, mix in some rabe, makes for a tasty sub.

Venezia on the Waterfront for Mother's Day?

Hi All -

Thinking would be a nice setting for the day - any thoughts?

Singa Bella Cafe, Cambridge

Singa Bella Cafe is an Italian/Mediterranean place at the corner of Mass Ave and Cameron St (Trolley Square), part of that mustard yellow condo complex that just came in last year. It's staffed by courteous guys of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern descent, and specializes in breakfast and lunch foods. A very nice addition to the neighborhood. I had a turkey pesto sandwich. It was very fresh, warmed on the meat side with great flavor. the bread reminded me of a flavor i haven't had for years. Very Very nice. It was extremely full of flavor, and ample amounts of ingredients. I think it was around $6.50-$6.95.

Also the people that work here are very accommodating and exceptionally nice. I live close and shall eat here more frequently!

Beverly (or Salem) B-Day Dinner - opinions?

My suggestion would be Bella Verona in Salem across from the Hawthorne Hotel. The owner is usually there and they have good Italian food. In Beverly I would recommend Chianti on Cabot Street for Northern Italian.

Cioppino?

Does anyone remember the cioppino at Angelo's in East Boston? They closed some time ago and I have not been able to find anything like it since.
Any recommendations?

Off the Boat Seafood in Eastie ???

Has anyone been? Is it takeout only? I've read the review in the Phoenix, appears they used to run Angelo's Seafood which I recall served the best Sicilian seafood I've ever tasted.

Great Italian restaurant for rehearsal dinner

The Lantana Cafe on Rte 60 in Medford has recently added on a seperate room from the dining area and could easily accommodate your party. We recently ate there and a private function was being held.
The food is mediterranean. I don't know if it would be in your price range but you could call to inquire.
