Where can I buy fresh flour tortillas?

I found a food truck that makes them - http://www.burr-eatery.com
They had lard and non-lard tortillas when I found them at the SOMA food truck park about a year ago. La Palma still makes flour tortillas and they also have lard and no lard options.

Indian Food in SF

Thanks - I forgot about Roti! I'll head there next weekend. We went to Rasoi on Valencia after all and it was quite bland. At least I know to avoid it in the future.

Indian Food in SF

I am looking for a solid Indian restaurant in SF that is not on Valencia and has the usual offerings (chicken tikka, etc). Not Dosa or Udupi and not in Tenderloin (due to logistics) no vegan, etc.
How is Indian Oven on Clement?

SF restaurant fit for foodies and 3-year-olds?

We love Locanda and have taken our young child there. Perhaps you can request a window seat for extra entertainment. It's Cal-Ital that might not be found in London with a full bar as an added bonus.

Mexico City - Bosques de Las Lomas Recs.

Thank you. I want to avoid chains at all costs so I'll venture out a bit in this case.

Mexico City - Bosques de Las Lomas Recs.

I am looking for recommendations for the area of Bosques de las Lomas. Bonus for good Mexican (any type) and prefer to steer away from other types of cuisines, unless there's something extraordinary. I might be dining solo, although I suppose that does not matter.

Famous Bagels near Le Westin to Take to California?

Unfortunately, I'll be in California and I doubt my husband will make an excursion outside of his team's itinerary. Otherwise, I would go to the source myself. Can you but them at local cafes or must one go to the source?

Famous Bagels near Le Westin to Take to California?

I've noted the two famous bagel shops in Montreal but I'd like to know if there is a source near the Westin. My husband will be staying there for work and I don't think he'll have time to go to the actual bakeries unless they are close by. Could someone advise where he can get bagels near the hotel to bring home for me? I am curious to try them. Thank you! Any other delicious treats you recommend?

SF special occasion restaurant that will tolerate a small child

I took my toddler and infant to the Presidio Social Club for an early dinner and the staff was very kind to us. Plus the food was great.

All-Inclusives that don't suck...

We stayed at Club Med Ixtapa in early 2009 and I was very impressed with the food. They had women making fresh tortillas everyday and would customize your quesadillas. We also stayed at Velas Vallarta (not Grand Velas) earlier this year and I did not like it at all, partly because of the food choices and my memory of the Club Med.
David Lebovitz wrote about the Club Med Ixtapa in case you are curious - link below. Note that it is a family resort so you can expect to have kids running around.

Authentic Mexican Food in Puerto Vallarta?

I've been to Puerto Vallarta twice this year and the local drivers and my family nearby recommend El Coleguita for seafood. It's not like eating in someone's kitchen but the restaurants are well known for decently priced seafood. There are 3 locations and there is one in Marina Vallarta near the airport in case you are in that area. The pescado zarandeado is a local specialty - http://www.rickbayless.com/tv/season4... - as are the aguachiles (ceviche-like preparations).

Here's the link to El Coleguita's web site - http://www.mariscoselcoleguita.com/

Buche de Noel in SF Proper

Any recommendations for a buche de noel in SF? I found that Tartine has one for $56 and Destination Bakery is selling them for $27 - they both feed 8 people. Has anyone tried either? Thanks!

Where can I find Zabaglione in San Francisco?

I had it at Ristorante Milano on Pacific St. in SF several years ago but I don't see it on the menu today. You may want to call them and see if they make it.

Sunday Brunch in Mexico city.

I have not been to the Four Seasons Sunday brunch but I have been to the weekday breakfast buffet and it is fine. I wasn't necessarily impressed with much there, although it is quite a nice spread with chilaquiles, eggs, tamales, granola, yogurt, etc. The pan dulces were fine, nothing exceptional, and the chocolate caliente was very good. Other than the chocolate, nothing really stood out for me other than the service. I believe that the breakfast buffet is about US$35, roughly, when I was there in Feburary 2012. How is Sunday brunch different? The atmosphere is clubby and the outside courtyard is inviting, but I would go to El Cardenal for brunch over the Four Seasons as long as El Cardenal in the Centro Historico is as good as it was a few years back when I was there.

Best sweet tidbits for wedding favors?

I put Sabores del Surs' alfajores in the wedding favor bags guests received as well as Claire's Squares. This was several years ago though. They seem to both have started out of La Cocina so you might want to check and see if there are new offerings through La Cocina as well. http://www.lacocinasf.org/

Need help with good food that doesn't require a reservation

I've taken my daughter to Beretta on Valencia on a Saturday at around 5pm-5:30pm and have always gotten a table. The food is great, it's loud enough that people don't seem to notice much if your child gets fidgety and there's a table next to the window where you might be lucky enough to get seated. I was really impressed with the food during my past visit. Note that it also has a bar known for their cocktails so it can get rowdy and busy as the evening progresses.

Pre-Made Tiramisu in SF

I am looking for a tiramisu for about 5 people for today. I don't know of any place that sells them unless it's an individual portion and since it's my husbands birthday request I thought I'd try to find one. I don't have time to make one today. Does anyone have any leads, preferably in the southern part of SF?

Puerto Vallarta - All-Inclusive with Good Food

I would like to go to Puerto Vallarta in the late Winter and am looking for a nice all-inclusive that actually has good food. I went to the Club Med Ixtapa 2 years ago and was surprised that the food was delicious, varied and fresh. Is there anything similar in Puerto Vallarta?

Caterer in SF that makes Paella?

I am looking for a caterer who will make a traditional paella for a small-ish family gathering.
Any recommendations? It doesn't have to be a caterer who only specializes in paella, but I would like one who will not Americanize the dish and will keep it traditional.

cake pops or cake balls in SF

There's a vendor at the Glen Park Farmer's Market (Sundays) that sells them. I think they also have pie pops.

French Laundry preparation questions and last minute surrounding meals

I requested the coffee and donuts when I made the reservation and they said they would try their best to accommodate the request. They did give our party of 7 the coffee and donuts as a special extra dessert. I noted that a table next to us had the coffee and donuts as well so I assume it's a popular request. You should call and request it before your visit just in case.

Best berry pie in SF?

I had the best marionberry pie from Destination Bakery in Glen Park about a month ago. The crust is excellent and everyone had a second serving. The pies are expensive (about $20) but worth it for a special meal. Call ahead since the flavors may change and they may run out.

Client Lunches in Palo Alto Area

I am trying to find nice, expense account-type restaurants to recommend to a friend who has to entertain clients over lunch. He is specifically looking for places in Palo Alto and is going to get bored of Evvia and The Four Seasons. It seems to me that those 2 will be the most formal places in the area, but are there any other restaurants that will make a nice impression (of course, no PF Chang's or hole in the wall even if the food is good).

My only other suggestion so far is the Empire Tap Room.
