Restaurants with bottle service

Yeah given the lack of clear options we will probably just order rounds of drinks and deal with it. I love Boston in so many ways but this is not one of them.

Restaurants with bottle service

Just wondering if anyone knows of some restaurants in the Boston area that allow you to order a bottle of vodka so that you can do toasts etc. I am organizing a birthday party for some older Russian and Armenian folk and the toast is a pretty important part of the whole experience.

I know that Crystal in Allston used to but it seems that they have gotten some flack very recently as they apparently didn't have a license to do so. I also know that a lot of clubs have this option but we are hoping for a restaurant environment.

How Recent Should your Experience be with a Restaurant before you trash it or recommend it? How often should you have eaten thre? [moved from Boston board]

It is a corollary to how bad or good the experience was.

If I have a horrible time I will badmouth the place until it is shuttered. If I have an amazing time the inverse is likely true. I guess I would be more likely to badmouth over a long period than to praise though.

ISO Ice cream stands where kiddie size does not mean a scoop the size of a baby's head

Who said I was a consumer?

I was more talking about using the dewar as a thermos as they work ok for that as well.

I guess you could just use a regular thermos if you want your ice cream to not stay ROCK HARD.

Just take the excess home. I bring a liquid nitrogen dewar whenever I go out for ice cream. It works well to keep the product cold until I return home on my bicycle.

New York style bagels

I know people that have worked in slave like conditions at that place and I can say that I would never recommend any food that does not arrive in a sealed container from outside.

what is the single best restaurant you've been to in Boston area?

I have been to a lot and still like L'Espalier best. I have had some nicer dinners at other places but have also have had some less than enjoyable times as well. I also really have enjoyed O Ya but have only been once so can't comment on consistency.

Neptune Oyster is excellent as well but the no reservations policy keeps me from attending very much.
