Gaslamp bound
Need decent places to drink and eat, in that order. Any must go to or must avoid places? Without car.
Real Buffalo Wings Needed
Hard Times Cafe has credible wings. Fried and then grilled, if you wish.
Bacon!
For someone who HAS been there, I say that Restaurant 3 is a very good choice
Mosaic District opening Fall 2012 in Merrifield, VA
Frankly, the cheesesteak and pizza are marginal at Marios. The only reason left to go to Wilson Blvd location is to hang with the guys behind the grill and counter at a classic roadside joint. I'll take the Great Wall bakery and lunch buffet anyday.
Gaithersburg?
Be prepared to wait at the very small crowded bar on a Sat night at Il Pizzico
Hamentaschen in D.C.?
Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Giant would all have them near Purim
White pizza
Definitely welcome. If you liked Il Porto, you will love Italian Pines, as it's cheaper and has virtually the same menu as Pines of Rome. Also, Il Porto often has a coupon in the money mailer or whatever that's called for discounts during the week. Ciao!
White pizza
Italian Pines on Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg,or Il Porto on Muddy Branch in Gaithersburg, or Amalfi's on Wilkens Ave in Rockville, all tracing some lineage to the Pines of Rome in Bethesda. I can remember standing on line at Amalfi's waiting to get in and they were passing out white pizza to us. This goes back to the late 70s.
Columbia area biz dinner and fun dinner in Balt/DC area
Victoria Gastropub in Columbia, http://www.victoriagastropub.com/, should fit your needs.

Maryland Style Fried Chicken???
There is a cooking method for chicken called broasting, which is basically fried chicken in a pressure cooker. This sounds a lot like MD fried chicken
Northern Chinese Layered Bread
Have you been to any of the supermarkets like Great Wall or Lotte?
Mount Airy/Frederick area suggestions
In addition to the other fine recs, Brewer's Alley for craft beer and southern inspired food (bonus patio in good weather) and Chicken Basket for old time fried chicken. Not impressed with Shab Row Bistro
Rye vs Bourbon in a Manhattan
I was just thinking of sending a query re: Manhattans because I want to explore this seeming resurgence in a semi-eclectic drink. So, what is your bourbon and rye recommendation?
Where can I find pickled herring?
For future reference, Magruders in Gaithersburg has pickled herring, and sometimes pickled lox!
Restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day
All the Clydes Group restaurants appear to be open from their website.
Casual Thanksgiving?
Some neighborhood Italian restaurants may be open, I agree that calling around will be your best solution
Any pit beef places in Baltimore open on Sunday?
Oops. Yes they are closed Sunday, but I thought I ate inside in the back.
Pignoli Cookies
Rodman's in MD might have them, but the Italian Store as previously noted would be your best bet

Vienna Inn is a dive with diverse menu. And it is unique. Maybe too unique for "dinner", but worth a lunch. www.viennainn.com

Casual, dog-friendly outdoor lunch somewhere between Frederick and Frostburg?
If Frederick itself is not too close, the patio at Brewers Alley, www.brewers-alley.com, might work for you.
Bethesda: venue for food-focused wedding reception?
Tragara has a nice upstairs room, but food is ordinary. Was not impressed by food at Grapeseed for Restaurant Week. I love the Chat Noir in Tenley; I believe they have a party room. I seem to recall that the former McCormick and Schmicks near the metro closed and that Cesco's owners were going to open there?

New Orleans specialties near Intercontinental (St. Charles & Poydras)
I will be in NoLA in a few weeks and these recs are what I was looking for as well. Between Emeril's and NOLA, what is the difference and what do you like at NOLA (I have a res)? I also have noticed that many restaurants are closed Sundays, particularly out in the Garden District. I will be at W near the river and at the Ritz. How is restaurant at latter. Also, where to drink that is not a cliche?

Williamsburg, VA - restaurant suggestions
Had a great meal at Blue Talon when visiting earlier this summer. And, al fresco sandwich at the Cheese Shop is warranted.
Driving from Wash DC to WIlliamsburg, VA and then back to NY
Dog House, New Castle, DE, right off 95 nr Del Mem Bridge. Cheese shoppe in W'burg for casual sandwich/salads, etc. Fat Canary and Blue Talon are good, but save for when you don't need to have a kids menu.
