Recs for group dinner in SD on a Saturday?

What do you think of Starlite or Anthony's? Starlite is offering a nice menu for $30 plus tax and tip, and I think Anthony's could do for about $35 plus.

Recs for group dinner in SD on a Saturday?

I am trying to arrange a group dinner for a group that will be in SD in early September. About 25-35 people. Many are on government salaries, so need to keep the cost at around $35-$40 per person. We'll be near convention center, but a 10-15 minute drive would be ok. Looking for good food, nice/fun atmosphere. We'd prefer some place that will give us a set menu with 2 or 3 choices for entree and 3 courses.

Decent spots in Maui -Kihei

My kids love Da Kitchen for breakfast. Roy's is very good for kids for dinner. Now my kids are ofended by being offered child menus, they unfortunately have expensive taste (except breakfast) and order lobster whenever they can.

Vegas Brunch - which one?

The food was pretty good, not necessarily amazing, although I'm sure my girlfriends and I got more than our money's worth based just on the amount of caviar we ate. It ended up being quite an experience though, as a gentleman at the next table took some interest in us (all married moms), sent us sambuccas to drink, and when we asked the waiter for our check, he told us the other table had taken care of it!

Should have replied to grimaldi, sorry.

Vegas Brunch - which one?

DH and I will be in Vegas for our wedding anniversary in a few months. Looking for a great Sunday brunch - figure we'll get there about noon. I've been to Sterling and Paris. Thinking of Zefferino's, or are Wynn and Bellagio that much better?

Feast at Lele vs Old Lahaina Lu'au

I've done both. Let's say that we've never returned to OLL, but have returned to Feast at Lele. There's nothing wrong with OLL, but the food is only so-so, it's a huge enterprise, and while the entertainment is very good, I prefer the excellent food and intimacy of Feast. By the way, my kids (including my son, who is a finicky eater) also preferred Feast.

Rome Dining Lineup

Rome Addict, you have me sold on Fiammetta. Do you know what the hours are for lunch and dinner? And do you think a lunch reservation would be needed on a Monday?

Rome Restaurant line-up

Maureen, thank you, I was hoping that you would reply. GiNa is located in the Spagna area, it looks like a great sandwich/salad/light entree type of place, and we may take our food to go and picnic in the Villa Borghese.

What pizza is worthwhile? I am looking for real Roman, thin crust pizza.

Rome Restaurant line-up

Here are my restaurants so far for our June Rome trip - we will have our 13 year old boy/girl twins with us, my daughter is pretty sophisticated food wise.

Dinner reservations so far:

Armanda al Pantheon
Paris
Al Ceppo
Colline Emiliane (this one is pending, I have Amex concierge working on it)

Lunches so far:

La Piazzetta
GiNa
Fiammetta

We could do pizza one night at Da Baffeta, unless someone has a better suggestion. Is Trattoria Monti a must? Need a light lunch on a Tuesday (which is the night we will go to Colline Emiliane).

Palazzo Grassi cafe

Has anyone eaten here? it is run by the owner of Vecio Fritolin. Seems convenient for lunch if we see the Rome and the Barbarians exhibition on our visit in June. In case you are wondering what our dining lineup is, we have dinners at Riviera, Fiaschetteria Toscana, Acqua Pazza and lunch at La Zucca planned.

Fall Italy Trip Planning Questions

rrems, what restaurants do you recommend in Sorrento? (We'll be a family of four with 13 year old boy/girl twins.) Also, is it easy to get a cab from Sorrento to Sant'Agata?

Maui - Kihei/Wailea recs for Hawaiian food

My husband, kids and I loved Da Kitchen for breakfast. Great omelets, loco moco, and french toast with portugese sausage. We went back another day at my son's insistence. And he's the finicky eater! Oh, and at $39 for the four of us including drinks, tax and tip, the cheapest meal of the week.

My Venice Restaurants

We are a family of 4, myself, DH and 13 year old twins. We will be in Venice in June arriving on a Sunday afternoon and leaving Wednesday midday for Florence. Here are my thoughts on restaurants:

Sunday dinner - Acqua Pazza or La Fenice
Monday lunch - (somewhere between Frari/San Rocco and Accademia - a nice campo?)
Monday dinner - Riviera
Tuesday lunch - (somehwere near Jewish Ghetto)
Tuesday dinner - Alla Madonna or La Zucca

As you can see, the lunches are empty. I am looking for places that will have good panini or pizza for light lunch, because we have breakfast included at the Bauer and need room for gelato and pastries.

Although my daughter has a sophisticated palate, my son not so much. I need to make sure there is always a pasta option at dinner for him.
