Restuarants in Berlin that DON'T have tasting menus

Can anyone recommend 3 fabulous restaurants in Berlin that have ala carte menus, and all choices of foods--meat, fish, poultry.

Berlin, Viena, Prague, and Budapest- Sept 2014

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. We don't need a high end most expensive meal every night, but do want to try one or two in each place. We will definitely report back when we return.

Berlin, Viena, Prague, and Budapest- Sept 2014

Sturmi,

After reading your reply to this and other posts, I have settled on Vestibul, Rudi's Beisl and Steirereck for our dinners. We are going to the Opera on Sat Sept 6th. Are either of the first two near the Opera and would they serve us in enough time to make the Opera? Should we go to Da Capo for lunch, as well as Konstantin Filippos? Are these t wo places too heavy of a meal considering where we will be having our dinners?

Thanks.

I would say mostly fine dining, but we're open to great food that's not necessarily at the finest restaurants. We do need places that have good cooked fish since one of us doesn't eat meat.

Berlin, Viena, Prague, and Budapest- Sept 2014

We were supposed to go to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest 3 years ago, but had to cancel for medical reasons. We are now going this September. At the time we were eating at the following places:

In Vienna:

Steireck im Stadtpark
Fabious
Sosaku (lunch)
Da Capo (lunch)
Do & Co

Budapest
Comme Chez Soi
Faustos
Aranykaviar (lunch)
Baraka (lunch)
Costes

Prague:

Kampa Park
La Finestra
Bellveue
V Zatisi

Berlin--We were not going there but our hotel concierge recommended:

Brasserie Amgendarme
Rutz Weinbar
Vau
reinstoff
Il Punto

Can anyone give us an idea if these restaurants are still good and worth the trip? If not, any other recommendations?

Fausto's or Ristorante Krizia?

I will be spending 3 nights in Budapest in early September. I would like to eat at one Italian restaurant and I don't know if I should choose Fausto's or Krizia. The rest of my plans are for Comme Chez Soi and either Costas or Onyx. I've also heard good things about AranyKaviar. Is this a good plan?

Does Anyone khow anything about these restaurants?

Has anyone heard of Restaurant Karlos Arguinano in Zarautz, about 25 minutes from San Sebastain, and also the Rosewood Restaurant in Saint Jean de Luz, also about 25 minutes from SS on the French side? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Can someone answer?

Yes, I read on this post that he passed away. I can't imagine that his staff isn't well experienced as well, and if his passing was not a sudden event, they were gearing up for it. Is there another place on the Costa Brava we should think about in case we hear that Can Fabes isn't up to its standards?

Can someone answer?

Is Restaurant Me open for dinner on Sundays? Also, is Comerc24 just as much fun at lunch? If I had to choose a restaurant for one very adventurous eater, and one who is fairly a traditional eater, would you choose El Principal, Dos Cielos, or Pla?

Ferran Adria's new spot

I went on the website and saw reservations for Tickets (which I got for late May), but how do I make reservations for 41 Degrees?

Tapas translations

Didn't someone do a large list of tapas transalations on this site a few years ago? I had downloaded it back in late 2007/early 2008 but never went on the trip that year. However, I am now going this May and would love to take the list along with us.

Muchas Gracias!

Please comment on dining itinerary

I was able to get a reservation at Tickets for Thursday May 26th--thank you all for your suggestions. I will make some revisions. Would you choose Cinq Sentis over Commerq24? Does anyone know about Els Pescadors and Vinya Roel?

Please comment on dining itinerary

We will be in Barcelona May 26-May 31st (leaving early that day). I am not the most adventurous eater, but will not let my husband not enjoy local food. While we will also be going to some michelin restaurant in San Sabastian and one night at Can Fabes, I have picked the following, and hope it's a good balance for both of us. I'd appreciate comments:

Thurs 5/26- dinner at Restaurant Me

Fri 5/27- lunch at Sauc; Tapas crawl in El Born for night

Sat. 5/28- lunch at Cinq Sentis; dinner- Comerc24

Sun- 5/29- lunch at Set Portes or at the Barcaletta; dinner-not sure since we have a music festival our son is performing in

Mon 5/30- lunch at Cal Pep; dinner at Tickets

Thank you for your feedback.

Need Help with a trip to Sedona in early April

Thank you so much--this was definitely helpful.

Dahl & DiLuca, Fork in the Road, or Cucina Rustica?

We have one night in Sedona. After reading posts on this site and Trip Advisor, we've narrowed it down to these three restaurants.

Any suggestions? It's my husband's birthday.

Need Help with a trip to Sedona in early April

My husband and I will be going to Sedona for 2 nights. Our first night we'd like to eat in town. The Enchantment Resort recommends a few restaurants and I am trying to choose between Dahl and Deluca, Cucina Rustica (I know they are owned by the same person) and possibly Elote, but since they don't take reservations and we're coming from the East Coast, we are not willing to wait an hour and a half for a table. Any other suggestions? We like great food and wine, and his birthday is the next day.

The second night we will probably eat at The Enchantment since we are going on a 10-11 hour trip to the Grand Canyon. That trip offers an option of lunch at El Tovar. Is the extra #30pp worth the meal at El Tovar?

2 nights in Quebec--which do I choose?

I will be in Quebec City for 2 nights this month. I am thinking of Initiale, L'Utopie; Le Panache, and Le Pain Beni. Which two should I choose, and are they all "casual" (nice pants and shirts, tops, etc )?

Da Emma--HELP

Does Da Emma have a limited menu on a nightly basis? I need a restaurant for 12 people that has at least 4 or 5 selections in each category for the meal.

Got these recommendations--pleave give feedback

Food issue: alergies to citris, including tomatoes (although Italian works since there are other sauces, etc), shellfish , non-meat eaters, non-pork eaters.

These are all great suggestions for me to look into. Thank you everyone. Do you know if anyone of these places do better with a large group?

Got these recommendations--pleave give feedback

I got these recommendations from a friend when a group of us (12) will be in Montreal for his son's wedding. His recommendations are very expensive and our group loves food and wine. However are there other great restaurants we can try? Here are his recommendations. We would most likely do the first three since there are food "issues" with some of us.

Au Tournant De La Riviere

La Queue de cheval (steak house) http://www.queuedecheval.com/
Da Vinci (italian) http://www.davinci.qc.ca
El Cortile (italian) http://english.montrealplus.ca/portal...
Shodan (Japanese fine dining) http://www.sho-dan.com
Julien (French cuisine): http://www.restaurantjulien.com/

Portland Maine Restaurants

Thanks--it was Street and Co that I was thinking of. It sounds as if Fore St. has passed its heyday, so I think we'll try some of the others you mentioned. We vacation on Long Lake every summer and spend a night or two eating in Portland.

Do you know if the other restaurants have websites?

Portland Maine Restaurants

I am looking for some great restaurnats in Portland Maine other than my favorite, fore St. I use to go to one on an alley and I can't remember the name--it had great fish.

If anyone has a list I'd appreciate it. We love high end food and wine.

thanks.

Madrid

Does the chef from Arce speak good English so that when he sits down with you to discuss the meal, he understands and can explain various foods?

Best restaurants (and hotels if you'll allow on this site)

I will be in Quebec City in August and will have 2 nights to have some great meals. We are 2 couples who love gourmet food and great wine. Which 2 restaurants would you choose for dinner? Laurie Raphael, Intiale and Panache seem to be ones we keep hearing about. Should we think about those, and which 2 out of the 3 would one choose?

We also like to stay in very deluxe hotels and are thinking between Hotel Dominion 1912 and Auberge Saint-Antoine. Which would one recommend?

Park Cafe in DC

It is on Capital Hill. Apparently the owner is an immigrant who was able to get the liquor license law changed after he was denied. His story is on the website: parkcafedc.com.
