Lunch in Delray

Rack's is the new "thing" in Delray. Nice place. Expensive but so is everything else.

Boston's is "eh" since the Marriott took it over and remodeled it and build a disco tiki hut next door. Its physically nicer but not nearly as much fun.

One place that I kind of like is Old Calypso. Fair prices, a free parking lot and a more interesting menu than Deck 84 across the waterway.

I wouldnt waste a day on Scuola.

TOP SUBS in SOUTH FLORIDA (Miami, Ft Lauderdale)

V&S is the LaSpada of Boca. All hype.

Have you been there? Chains don't get to be big chains unless they're good in the beginning. Subway used to be darn good. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

LaSpada is the most overrated sub shop in the country. 620 Subs in Boca and a new place, PrimoHoagies would be my choices.

Restaurant Recommendations - Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood

Dos Caminos is probably the 8th best Mexican in Fort Lauderdale. It's located in a bad hotel in a part of town where there isn't much going on. The bar is sort of in the corner of the lobby. For Mexican you want to go to Rocco's Tacos. It's on the strip and everything about it is better than Dos Caminos. Nice bar, better food, better scene.

Hollywood is a wasteland for dining; Italian food in south florida is pretty disappointing from head to toe; but if you "love" Il Mulino then you probably don't have very high standards.

Greek Taverna is fine; if you're looking for something a bit more snooty look at Thasos across the street.
