I was lucky enough to come in here with my boyfriend the day they switched over their menu. I'm not a professional food critic so I can't give a snobby New York Times-esque review so I'll make real Brooklyn-like: I tried out the Ahi Tuna Steak and omigawd, it was amaaazinggg! I usually have a very forgiving palate and just enjoy whatever I'm given and I eat until I'm full. I guess that's how I stay thin. But the tuna steak (done medium rare, perfectly) had 4 distinct tastes of grill, bbq sauce, black pepper and sweet fresh taste of tuna, all of which stood out individually and blended together at the same time.
Here is the part I got excited to share about because I came up with the perfect description for the dessert that I had. Technically, the dish is called Blood Orange Chocolate Soufflé. But MY name for it is "That Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Banana, Heaven/Angels Singing Dessert". Not too rich that my small stomach couldn't handle it after the tuna steak, but still had enough substance to have me take the rest to go and finish later. The problem is, I'm going to want to order something else because there's no way the chef can mess anything up, but it will be hard to part from this chocolate slice of heaven (which I'm positive was catered from the Pearly Gates).
