Thank you for your great advice! We ate at Fish Tag, loved it! They have some very nice cheese! We went to the Mermaid Inn and loved it! We went to Five Napkin Burger and thought it was good. After 2 napkins I opted for a knife and fork. Loved staying in that area! Very nice to walk around and explore! Will be back again!

We went to Al Forno the other night. They did not have a clam pizza on the menu.

I believe they are now owned by Zake's in Stonington. The scallops are probably Bomster scallops which are so good!

We are staying at Hotel Belleclaire. We love food, especially seafood. Looking for restaurants with a comfortable atmosphere. Any restaurants we must try?

We went on a Saturday. There was parking for the restaurant in the back so that was no problem The restaurant is beautiful. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice. We ordered the nachos, the Asian tofu salad and ravioli for appetizers and all were very good. For our main meal my husband had the mole burrito and I had the meatloaf, both were just okay. The service was a bit slow. The bartender spend alot of time making the special drinks so it was hard to get her attention for a refill. If it ever got busy there they would have a problem.

Peking Tokyo is right near the Mystic Seaport and they have wonderful sushi.

So how far would you take that? There is also frozen spinach. Too bad, microwave in the bag spinach is so convenient!

What about the microwave in the bag spinach?

Come to think of it, if I am using it for a salad I wash it, go through it and take off the stems but I also but the microwave in the bag version of spinach which I do not wash. Go figure.

I loved St John but I did not think the restaurants were that great there. I come from an area that has wonderful seafood. We were there years ago so I am sure things have changed. I loved the Italian restaurant and Miss Lucy's.

We really liked our server. He did say that sometimes people think that coal fired pizza is burnt. I thought the crust was very good. Just a bit charred, nice and crunchy but not too crunchy. Friday nights they have all of their wines at half price. The eggplant pizza was delicious. I got a regular pizza with mushrooms and onions.

We were in a Japanese restaurant last night and they had escolar on the sushi menu.

I just think if a fish market wants to sell it they should let you know themselves the way you should cook it and the risks. I had no idea when I bought it.

Thank you everyone! We went to Anthony's last night. We loved it. First of all, on Friday nights all of their wine, glasses and bottles, are half price. My husband got the eggplant pizza which was perfect. Great flavor, eggplant sliced thin. I got just a pizza with mushrooms and onions. We will look forward to going back! Love Chowhound!

We were there Saturday night and I agree with everything you said! We got there at 5:30 and it was packed already. Everything we had was great especially the oysters! Service was perfect. We are so lucky to have them!

We go there often for dinner. We really like their seafood. Not fancy just good food. We always get their guacamole. Noah's was in the movie Hope Springs with Meryl Streep & thommy Lee jones. Just a fun fact. Lots of fun stores in stonington also!

We are heading to Orlando in February and I have a wonderful list of restaurants I am anxious to try thanks to this board. I do have one question. If we just feel like hanging out in the hotel room one night with take out pizza where would be the best place to get pizza? I do not mean Domino's, etc... I mean nice pizza. Thanks!

I know we will not be getting chowhound worthy food but it is just a convenient place to meet a friend. A restaurant with some atmosphere and pretty good food is what we are looking for, not really fine dining.
