Thanks for the recs everyone. We will not be drinking and driving ever!! I changed the hotel to the hilton at mission bay so hopefully a bit of a better location. Any other suggestions are always welcome!

haha yes it it nice for starving college students. Some of us have money others dont... want to be fair for everyone involved. Do you think we should be staying somewhere else? Is the resort and spa a better location for us? Thanks for the recs though

Need Good recs for college students

My friend and I are coming up from Tucson to meet some friends from la. We are staying at the Loews on Coronado. Looking for some good brunch spots and dinner recs. we have cars so anywhere within 15 miles is good. Any cuisine is fine no one is too picky. We are college students so cheaper is better. Dinner under 40 pp is good with liquor. Again any cuisine would work. Looking for somewhere with a hip young vibe doesn't need to be loud. But somewhere we can drink and have a nice time and not feel like the youngest people. I haven't been to San Diego in years so any recs would be much appreciated. Brunch and dinner and drink! Thanks so much San Diego hounds.

little tokyo and korea town

I know they are both very different places. But i have lived in LA my whole life and have never been to either. Wanting to go to one this weekend. Looking for good restaurants in either, eat pretty much everything. So what are the best three places in each maybe? Open to all suggestions though! Could not find a recent thread on either one!!!

Restaurants near observatory

This is my first post! I read the la board all the time but haven't found what I want. I am going out on a date and we will be going up to the observatory at night. I need a place to eat before. All cuisines are a go. Just want to be within a 15 minute drive from the observatory. We don't drink so price not a problem. We both enjoy good food. Not looking for pre fix meal though. Anything will help!!
