NY-> Dallas, Suggestions for Mex, Tex-Mex and BBQ please!

Casa Milagro is the best tex-mex in town. Great service and great atmosphere. I'd drop Uncle Julios off the list. It's very chain-y and way to americanized if you're looking for true Tex-Mex.

If you don't mind a bit of a drive, Sammy's Bar-B-Q is great. It's just north of downtown on the edge of Uptown. But Lockhart is also quite good.

Saturday Dinner for 8 within 20-30 minutes of DFW

Victor Tango's is excellent. It's in the Knox/Henderson Area.

My favorite steak house is Al Biernat's but for Saturday night you are going to want to wear ties if your aren't going to do jackets.

The Bishop Arts district has some amazing eats.

Bolsa is all local and organic and the menu changes on an almost daily basis. Tillman's roadhouse is a great TX atmosphere steakhouse. Hattie's is also good. It's American with a southern flair. Boulevardier opened recently and is a local favorite hot spot. It's a french neighborhood bistro.

Meddlesome Moth has some great menu variety but the atmosphere is very loud on the weekends. I'm not crazy about Javier's the couple times I've been there my meals were just ok.

Lunch/Dinner in/near Downtown Dallas

what price range are you wanting to be in? what types of foods do you want to check out? Will you be going to the Arts District for your show?

I am staying at the Double Tree in times square and will be vacationing with my folks.

Our focus will be seeing several shows, china town and a couple of the museums. We have all been to NYC many times before.

As far as location - anything in the Midtown/theater district, Gramercy park/flatiron, china town/little Italy, Greenwich village are all game. We are looking to do one nice meal around $50-$75 a person. Otherwise we aren't looking for a huge price tag, just some great food. We def. want an Italian place, Deli for sandwich, and a pizza place to grab a slice. Other than that we are pretty open to genre. No Indian, Vietnamese or Mexican (we're from Texas).

With trying to hit the theater every night we aren't going to want to wait too long for a table, but would totally make reservations if that's an option. Mom will want to be in the dining area not the bar.

Sorry. Didn't have a hotel reservation yet. I am staying at the Double Tree in times square and will be vacationing with my folks. We are coming from Dallas, TX.

NYC in April

Hey. I'm hitting the big apple the end of April and am looking for some tasty places to try. Doesn't need to be fancy. I love a hole in the wall as long as the food is good. Definitely looking for an Italian place and a great place to grab a slice. But I eat everything other than Indian and Vietnamese. Any thoughts?
