Cookbook of the Month March 2013 EVERY GRAIN OF RICE: Soups, Rice, Noodles, Dumplings, Stocks, Preserves and Other Essentials

So the Congee recipe on p. 263 calls for 3/4 cup of rice and "2-1/2 cups (2.4 liters) of water." Those measurements are not equivalent. Any idea what the right amount of water is?
