Cooking Class Gift
New to town and looking for a cooking class to give my husband for Father's Day. Any recommendations? Whole Foods over Central Market, or another school? I was thinking about the basic knife skills class at Whole Foods but don't want him to be bored if it's too basic!

Just moved to Austin and wanted to say thanks for the great map - what a great way to get to know the city! Coming from Brooklyn, I was overjoyed to see Austin had a Chow Board, hooray!!!

I went with friends the other night and we all enjoyed our burgers. The fries and onion rings were good too, thought the zucchini fries weren't my favorites. I would go back!
Chestnut on Smith, how's the fois gras?
does the salt cod brandade have any particular odor? I know it's a hot dish and I wouldn't want to overwhelm the room with the smell of several orders of bubbling fish!
Chestnut on Smith, how's the fois gras?
I'm having my wedding at Chestnut this week and need some menu suggestions. I've had the tasting and we chose 3 dishes for each course, but I was told today that we can add one more dish to each. Unfortunately, we only tried 8 dishes total and I wasn't a fan of the haystack shrimp app or the chicken main dish.
Here's what I have so far:
Apps: pear salad, grilled calamari, and potato gnocci.
I'm thinking of adding the fois gras or the salt cod brandade. Or maybe one of the soups?
Entrees: Pansoti, hanger steak, and tilefish.
I'm thinking of adding the stuffed delicata squash.
If anyone can recommend favorites I'd love to hear your suggestions!

Hopefully something, I'm still waiting for something new to go into the old Uncle Liao's space on 5th ave and 11th, and the soup shop space on 4th ave between 10th and 11th. Though I'd rather have nothing than another bank branch...
Movie at Prospect Park Pavillion, dinner at?
I tried Bar Toto last week and ordered the veggie burger because I had tried some of a friend's once before and really liked it. This time I wasn't impressed, something was definitely different! Oh well, next time I'll just get the regular burger. I do love their fries!
