My mother's cheese wild rice soup with homemade frybread. Tied only with my grandmothers home made bread hot and steaming with real butter melting into it. I ate these things dozens if not hundreds of times growing up, but had lost both my mother and grandmother by the time I graduated high-school. I can make these things my self (and they are highly praised by others) but they are tasteless to me now.
My current drink of choice:
Cherry Coke (Not the most sophisticated, but I don't drink alcohol)
I really wish I could:
Get my tongue spliced in two.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Lasagna roll-ups or Riccotta stuffed shells with spicy italian sausage garlic bread and salad. Cherry Bake for dessert (A kind of cherry dump cake)
My favorite comfort food:
Wild rice, or kielbasa and sauerkraut.
My most tattered cookbooks:
The joy of cooking, but to be honest I rarely use a recipe unless I am baking which I rarely do. I was taught to cook from scratch and only use measurements as guidelines since I have a good sense of what things will taste like when I add them cook them ect.
