Diners on the way to DCU
The Parkway Diner is on Shrewsbury St. across the street from the Boulevard and has great breakfast. I am also a big fan of Lou Roc's Diner which is on West Boylston St. Rt 12.
Vacationing New Britain and Norwich
In New Britain: I definately agree with comments about Great Taste. The service is great and the Chinese food is some of the best I've had and its very reasonably priced. For a no nonsense breakfast I like the New Britain Diner located just off Rte 72 on Corbain Ave. Just over the New Britain line in Plainville there is J. Timothy's Taverne, which is a great place for casual fare. Their "dirty" chicken wings are some of the best in the area.
Best places to shop in Worcester?
My brother is a chowhound and we like to plan his visits around eating good food and shopping for good food. We recently moved to Worcester from CT and have already scoped out a bunch of great restaurants to take him to, but now we'd like some advice on the best places to shop. We like really good ethnic markets, kitchen stores, cheese shops, gourmet markets, etc. Anything like that around here? We'd like to stay in Worcester and its burbs... we already have another trip all planned out for the Boston area. Thanks for your help!
