BBQ between Greenwood & Flowood MS? (Advice needed)
Thank you both! Thanks for the advice re: the roads, too. I very much appreciate it.
BBQ between Greenwood & Flowood MS? (Advice needed)
I'll be on a whirlwind trip on Friday from Flowood/Jackson to Greenwood and back. I can't leave the Delta without some BBQ (I am obsessed and can't get anything decent where I live in Boston).
Please recommend good spots that will be open at 8ish PM on Friday night for takeout somewhere between Greenwood and Flowood/Jackson airport area (I'll be on Routes 49, 12 & 17 then I-55, or could take 82 out to I-55). This will be my only chance to get BBQ on my trip -- especially interested in ribs or pulled pork.
Thank you!!!!!
One night in Vegas - Picasso, Carnevino, or Julian Serrano?
Thanks, Vegas1015. We're kind of agnostic re: genre. We generally save seafood for when we're home here in Boston.
When we have the opportunity to have our one big meal of a trip like this, we usually gravitate toward high end frenchish, but I think the goal with this dinner is to hit the sweet spot between great food and wine, and location, as this is our first trip to Vegas together. We're not looking to spend Joel Rubicon-type $$, but are otherwise ok.
One night in Vegas - Picasso, Carnevino, or Julian Serrano?
Ok, I know that this is a random list, but I'm really intrigued by all 3 of these options, which still have tables available for next Saturday @ 9 PM. We'll be staying @ Signature MGM, so I guess that location counts for something, but really we just love the food & wine.
So, please provide any advice re: the pros and cons of each. Or, feel free to just cast a quick vote. I've read that Picasso is past its peak and would like to hear input re: that, but also am intrigued by the totally Vegas location.
Thanks, in advance!
Dinner in Bar at Burlington Cap Grille?
One more Q - have you been to the Woburn Masa? Is it worth the trip? Sorry for all of the questions!!!!
Dinner in Bar at Burlington Cap Grille?
Thanks, MC Slim...haven't been to Summer Winter or L'Andana either. L'Andana appears to be pretty booked. Am reading some bad reviews of Summer Winter's service. What's the scoop with that? What has been your experience? Thanks.
Dinner in Bar at Burlington Cap Grille?
Really want to eat there on Saturday night...no reservations available at a decent time. 4 people. Haven't been to this location. Is it a place that would be worth eating in bar????? Thoughts?
Thanks!
Best restaurant w/i 15 minute drive of Waltham for anniversary dinner
My husband and I have a hot date planned for Thursday night. We are paying for a bbsitter, so want to avoid a long drive (or might just take a cab). What would be your top suggestion w/i a 15 minute drive of Waltham...with the following caveats:
1. We live 2 blocks from Campania and have been there a few times...want to try something new.
2. We're considering Lumiere, but are also open to other suggestions.
3. We haven't been to Il Capricio, but are wondering if it's better than Lumiere...or than your other suggestions.
4. Don't really feel like dealing w/ Harvard Square, either.
Thanks!
Best Places to Enjoy Crab while in SF?
I'll be in SF over the weekend of December 28-31 and know that it's crab season. We'll be staying at a hotel in the Financial District and will pay whatever it takes to get a great/authentic/not touristy meal (we're from New England and can sniff out a tourist trap from a mile-away). Which restaurants in SF that are accesible by public transportation or cab would you recommend that will showcase native seafood, including crab?
Thanks!
Lasagna in the North End?
Despite having lived in the North End for 4 years, I have only tried the lasagne at one restaurant - Cantina Italian. It was out of this world delicious! I think that Cantina is a sure bet for red-saucy Italian. I highly recommend it!
One Night in Vancouver - Lumiere or Le Crocodile?
Absolutely -- we'll actually be in BC only for a total of 3 nights, after having spent most of the honeymoon in No. California, but I'll be happy to post. Cheers & happy planning!
One Night in Vancouver - Lumiere or Le Crocodile?
This will be the last night of our honeymoon. We're trying to decide between Lumiere and Le Crocodile -- please help!
