Any East Coast style Chinese food in Seattle?

Haven't found a good NY style place in over three years until last week. Golden Pheonix in Covington of all places. Big fat crispy egg rolls, pork fried rice, great soup, and the chicken in the chicken dishes actually looks like real chicken. The only thing missing was the wide crispy noodles for the soup. Was definitely suprised and would go back again. Best NY style I've had on the west coast.

La Carta de Oaxaca - Am I missing something?

Having moved here from Houston 18 months ago, my wife and kids are going crazy for some OK Mexican food. The only two places I've found worth going back to are Rosita's in Green Lake and Mama's in Bell town. Rosita's has a tortilla lady making fresh tortillas and Mama's has good crispy tacos.

Great Hamburgers on the Eastside (SEA)

Testy Chef on 169 overlooking Cedar River. Better burgers than Red Mill.

New York City Foodie looking for Must-Try's in Seattle!

Having lived back in NY for 20 years, I would recommend Seafood, Thai, and cupcakes. Seattle Chinese is very different than East coast Chinese. Pizza is above average, but you'll have better back east. There are some good burger places. Stay away from Mexican, it’s probably just as bad in NY. Stay away from BBQ.

Sea C.H. Stuck in Maui looking for a good chow.

Just got back last Tuesday:

For lunch or dinner try Paia Fish Market in Paia. You order at the register and then grab a bench. The Mahi fish & chips are great!

For breakfast try the Gazebo in Napili. It's right on the water - great view. They only have about 10 tables so expect a wait.

Now I'm stuck with bad Seattle food until next time.

Mexican restaurant

Having moved here from Houston 18 months ago, we've been constantly searching for good Mexican food. Rosita's near Green Lake is hands down the best - fresh tortillas made on the spot, decent salsa, and spicy dishes. Only place we've found worth going back to.

Attn: East Coasters- Where's The Decent Chinese Food In Seattle??

Houston is good for Tex-Mex, Seafood, and Barbeque. NY does have the best Chinese takeout.

Is there good pizza in Seattle?

Plain cheese is the only way. Whoever came up with that California garbage should rot in H E double tooth picks.
